🎉 Congratulations to the 44 ensembles who have been selected for MERITAcubed.

😊 We are excited to welcome them to our selected historic houses. Stay tuned!

🎉 We are thrilled to introduce the 44 new ensembles selected for MERITAcubed!
22 piano trios and 22 string quartets are joining the second edition of the MERITA Platform.
Until 2029, these 44 ensembles will have the opportunity to develop original artistic projects, take part in residencies hosted in historic European houses, receive advanced training and mentoring, perform internationally, engage with new audiences and access the digital tools and professional network of MERITA Platform 🎻
The 113 applications received showcased an exceptionally high artistic level, making the selection both inspiring and highly competitive. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Artistic Committee formed by Jonathan Aner, Simone Gramaglia, Viviane Hagner, Hila Karni, Bjørg Lewis, and Alexander Pavlovsky, for their expertise and guidance throughout the selection process.

📣 FINAL CALL 📣

Last days to apply for the opportunity to host a string quartet or piano trio at your historic house!

🌟 Don't miss the chance to organise an artistic residency with the MERITAcubed project!

⏰ Deadline: January 16th

📞 Answer the call for historic houses! Join the MERITAcubed network and take the opportunity to host a 5-day creative residency at your historic house!

🎶 Building on the success of the MERITA project, led by Le Dimore del Quartetto, EHH is taking part in its second edition and opening up for both string quartets and piano trios across Europe to further their creative careers all the while providing open concerts as a thank you to their hosting houses.

🎻 Make your historic house a living space of culture! By joining the network, you’ll help increase the visibility and mobility of talented chamber music ensembles while promoting European cultural heritage.

🏰 To be eligible as host, the house should provide the musicians with 4-5 beds, access to a kitchen, and an adequate room for rehearsal - including a piano if hosting a piano trio. Residencies will take place between December 2026 – November 2027, apply by January 2026!
In return, you will have the opportunity to promote your house on the MERITA platform, host the creative development of an original project by a string quartet or piano trio and their first public concert, strengthen your house’s role within this international cultural network, and receive a contribution to help cover hosting expenses.

📍 MERITAcubed operates with considerable flexibility! Residency requests are always optional for the Houses, and each time an ensemble expresses interest, the House owner is consulted to confirm hosting availability. However, at least one residency must be provided.
Fill out the application form linked in the top comment to signal your interest! For more details, contact us at [email protected] and we will provide you with additional information!

🎆 2025 has been a special year here at EHH, filled with exciting events and new projects that have kept us actively engaged in our mission: supporting historic house owners in their efforts to protect and preserve their properties - true treasures and living legacies of our shared European heritage and story.

📚 Speaking of stories, 2025 also marked the 40th anniversary of our association, which is why we asked you to share yours through our “40 years, 40 stories” initiative. As the campaign now comes to a close, we’re excited to share a recap with you.

🙏 A big thank you to all the owners who took part, opening the doors of their properties and sharing how, with perseverance and unwavering dedication, they commit themselves to preserving cultural heritage and keeping these houses alive. Don’t forget to catch up on the interviews you may have missed at the following link: https://www.ehh.eu/project/40-years-40-stories/!

🙏 A special thank you also goes to everyone who contributed to making this year truly remarkable: our national associations, their members, our team, both the NextGen group and the Circle, and our partners.

💡 We’ll be back on January 5th, and we can’t wait to reconnect with you all in 2026 with fresh ideas and new projects.

In the meantime, our warmest wishes for a Happy New Year!
