Scouts BSA Troop 457

Scouting America (Formerly Scouts BSA) is a fun program for boys and girls aged 11-18 to grow in adventure, leadership and service.

Troop 457 meets Tuesdays from 7-8:30 p.m. at Brussels Unit School and welcomes youth from the Brussels-Capital Region.

Yesterday, Scouts from Brussels Troop 457 joined other Belgium-based Scouting America units at Flanders Field American Cemetery and Memorial to honor the 368 fallen U.S. servicemembers laid to rest there. Each year, Troop and Pack 457 lead the Veterans Day ceremony, where Scouts read “In Flanders Fields,” present the presidential proclamation, serve as honor guard, and lay commemorative wreaths.

Last weekend, Troop 457 Scouts kicked off the 2025-26 camping season in De Kluis, Belgium, where we focused on welcoming new Scouts, making campfire memories, and reinforcing essential Scouting skills that included knot-tying, outdoor cooking and land navigation. 🔥⛺️ Looking forward to a season full of adventure, growth, and unforgettable moments — we’re just getting started! 💪

The Scouts, leaders, and families of Brussels Troop 457 extend their heartfelt gratitude to Andrews Federal Credit Union for its generous financial support that helped our troop attend summer camp in the Swiss Alps last week! Thanks to this contribution, our Scouts were able to experience an unforgettable week of adventure, growth, and teamwork. Thank you also to Brussels Consignment Shop for its 2024 donation that continues to support our camping tents and shelter/canopy. This commitment to our Brussels community is truly inspiring. Thank you to both organizations for investing in the next generation of leaders!
