or citizens and disabled people. It also wishes to promote sustainable and solidarity tourism to the benefit of the local population and with respect for natural and cultural heritage. The ISTO has two main goals:

- To raise awareness among governments, international institutions and local and regional authorities competent for social policies in tourism and best practices which facilitate holidays for all.
- To become a true platform for exchanges and services for the members by stimulating the exchange of experiences, know-how and project development.

🤝 Red ISTO en Portada

🎉 La red ISTO sigue creciendo con la incorporación de un nuevo miembro que comparte los valores de un turismo basado en la cooperación, la inclusión, la solidaridad y el desarrollo equilibrado de los territorios.

🇫🇷 INNTO France (Instituts Nationaux de Tourisme) es una red nacional que reúne cinco institutos universitarios especializados en turismo, hospitalidad, cultura y ocio. Actualmente, cuenta con cerca de 6.000 estudiantes y ofrece alrededor de un centenar de formaciones superiores dedicadas a las profesiones del turismo.
La asociación acompaña las transformaciones del sector turístico mediante el desarrollo de formaciones continuas, certificaciones en sostenibilidad, alianzas con empresas, federaciones profesionales e instituciones públicas, así como proyectos de investigación e innovación pedagógica.

ISTO se complace en anunciar la celebración del 30.º aniversario de la Declaración de Montreal “Por una visión humanista y social del Turismo”, con dos eventos complementarios en 2026.

🇨🇦 29-30 de octubre de 2026 | Montreal, Canadá

El evento conmemorativo se realizará en Montreal reuniendo a la comunidad internacional de ISTO para celebrar 30 años de compromiso con la Declaración de Montreal “Por una visión humanista y social del Turismo”. Organizado por la sección Américas de ISTO, en colaboración con la UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, ofrecerá una jornada de reflexión y prospectiva junto a los miembros y aliados de ISTO, quienes presentarán casos prácticos inspiradores y mantendrán debates sobre los retos y las perspectivas del turismo social y la sostenibilidad social del turismo. El programa se completará con visitas de campo, así como con la participación en el Salón Internacional de Turismo y Viajes (SITV).

Las celebraciones continuarán en Europa el 26 de noviembre en Bolonia, Italia. Organizado por la sección Europa de ISTO en colaboración con AITR - Turismo Responsabile, este evento celebrará el 30.º aniversario de la Declaración de Montreal “Por una visión humanista y social del Turismo”. en el marco de AITR Incontra.

El encuentro reunirá a miembros de la red ISTO, socios y actores del turismo responsable para reflexionar sobre el legado de la Declaración y reafirmar nuestro compromiso común con un Turismo para Todos, Solidario y Sostenible.

🤝 ISTO Network Spotlight

✨ A new public authority has joined the ISTO network to help promote fairer and more sustainable tourism for all.

🇲🇽 The Secretaría de Turismo del Estado de Hidalgo is the governmental body responsible for formulating, directing, coordinating, and evaluating public policy on tourism development, in alignment with the State Development Plan.

Its mandate is oriented towards promoting a sustainable, inclusive, and competitive tourism model, through coordination with the various levels of government, the private sector, academia, and national and international organisations.

Its main activities include the planning and development of sustainable tourism destinations; the promotion and strengthening of tourism offerings; and the training and certification of service providers, among others. Likewise, the Secretariat promotes the conservation and responsible use of natural, cultural, and social heritage, fosters social and accessible tourism, and participates in mechanisms of international cooperation and exchange for tourism development, thereby contributing to the well-being of communities and the regional development of the State.

🤝 The ISTO network continues to grow with the addition of new, committed stakeholders in the field of social and sustainable tourism.

🇫🇷 AEC Villages Vacances & Camping aims to promote tourism that is accessible to all, where everyone can go on holiday regardless of their financial means. It is guided by a vision for a more human, inclusive and responsible form of tourism, fostering encounters, sharing and respect for local territories.

AEC Vacances’ core mission is to organise and offer accessible holiday stays in holiday villages and campsites across France. It develops packages tailored to different groups (families, groups, senior citizens) by providing accommodation, a variety of activities and comprehensive services.

The association also works to foster social cohesion, diversity, inclusion and community spirit, whilst committing to a sustainable and responsible approach to tourism.

La Pa’a Cultural and Tourism Association (PA’CTA) de Bapa à Bafoussam (Cameroun) est une association à caractère culturel et touristique qui œuvre pour le développement et la promotion des activités culturelles et touristiques à travers :

🏆 Les Trophées Horizons 2026 sont ouverts depuis quelques semaines !

Acteurs du Tourisme Durable - ATD, membre d’ISTO, lance une nouvelle édition de ses Trophées Horizons, qui récompensent chaque année des initiatives inspirantes qui contribuent à la transformation du secteur touristique.

Vous portez un projet engagé dans la transformation du secteur ? C’est le moment de le faire connaître.

Les lauréats seront récompensés le 26 novembre lors de l’Université du Tourisme Durable (UTD), un rendez-vous majeur des professionnels du tourisme engagés.

🌍 ¡La convocatoria de manifestaciones de interés ya está abierta para la organización del 30.º Congreso Mundial de ISTO en 2028!

Cada dos años, el Congreso Mundial de ISTO reúne a responsables públicos, profesionales del turismo, investigadores, organizaciones de la economía social e instituciones internacionales con un objetivo común: promover un turismo más inclusivo, sostenible y accesible para todos.

La edición de 2028 será especialmente simbólica, ya que marcará el 30.º Congreso Mundial de ISTO. Acoger este evento representa una oportunidad única para un destino de:

✔️ reforzar su visibilidad internacional
✔️ posicionarse en los temas relacionados con el turismo social y la sostenibilidad social
✔️ desarrollar alianzas estratégicas duraderas
✔️ generar impactos económicos y territoriales positivos
