As a five-month residential formation, our Fellows work in the EU ecosystem and live together in two wonderful houses in prime location. They share home-cooked dinners, laugh together, challenge each other, go on retreats, engage in volunteering, and navigate professional growth together in a tight-knit cohort of young professionals.

🏡At its heart, the European Leadership Programme (ELP) Programme is about the impact of community and the bridges we build between people and ideas. It’s been a rewarding few weeks at the ELP house in Brussels with moments that built connections. At our 𝙒𝙖𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙚 Speakers’ Night, over 50 of us gathered to navigate the complexities of global security with mentors from the and .
🌱The same spirit of connection continued as we welcomed the undergraduate from Rome who share Jesuit network and values.
🙌🏼We also celebrated our Spring Party. Since March, the fellows, mentors and coaches have gone from being strangers to a genuine group rooted in authentic, deeply human friendship.

𝗔 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆: 𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁

Last weekend, 19 ELP Fellow packed their bags and headed to the heart of the Belgian countryside for a quiet retreat in the middle of nature. 🌿

Away from the busy life in Brussels with meetings, screens, technology and abstraction, here the fellows rolled up their sleeves and worked together on tasks like cooking, gardening, woodcutting. 🪵

Alongside their spiritual coaches Kuhn and Willemaers s.j. , the fellows delved into sessions on the Ignatian perspective on mission, on discernment. During dedicated personal hours, they contemplated on how to listen, how to choose, how to lead with intention. 💡

Accompanied by a surprising snowfall, we hope the Fellows took away something precious from this weekend together 😇

🎉 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗟𝗣 𝗖𝗼𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁!

Yesterday we welcomed 20 new Fellows to Brussels, a diverse group from Spain, Italy, Hungary, Morocco, Germany, Belgium and beyond. Some are already used to the city, while others just rolled in with suitcases days ago.

The semester started by meeting mentors and coaches, getting to know each other, and celebrating Mass together to offer thanksgiving for the beginning of this new journey.

A warm welcome to the Fellows, and excited to see how they grow alongside each other over the next five months! ✨
