Edukado was founded in 2009 by some friends and fellow students during their studies. Today, Edukado has 7 board members, we have realised 13 projects and directly impacted more than 100 students.
The new, Ghana 2025 project, since November 2024, a group of 10 Edukado volunteers, under the supervision of the Edukado board, have been raising funds during the 2024-2025 academic year. During the summer holidays of 2025, they will travel to Ghana to implement the project, under the supervision of and in collaboration with the Ghanaian organisation Maajulie Foundation and in partnership with the neighbours in Obrachire. The project mainly consists of the construction of two new classrooms and the renovation of an existing classroom, but it is so much more than that.
Through collaboration and discussions with the members of our partner organisation and the community of Obrachire, our students will learn a lot about the Ghanaian culture and it’s values. They will get to experience Ghanaian food, they will probably ask and get asked many questions, leading to enriching discussions and a widening of their world view.
