More To Show puts styling in the spotlight at MAD Brussels!

MAD Brussels has teamed up with More To Show for the exhibition What’s Your Style? More To Show is an international agency specializing in technical direction & design at the intersection of events, fashion, and architecture. Between concept and spatial ex*****on, More To Show develops environments where light, material, and movement interact. Each project becomes a language, each space an experience.

What’s Your Style? presents an immersive scenography that unveils the behind-the-scenes world of fashion. Drawing on backstage and runway references, the lighting, designed by Ombre, plays a central role in shaping the visitor experience. Creativity and technical craftsmanship come together in the scenography, an expertise in which Belgium excels and which, much like fashion styling, too often remains behind the scenes. What’s Your Style? highlights these hidden talents and their creativity and technical expertise on an international level, in line with the shared mission of MAD Brussels and More to Show.

What’s Your Style? is on view at MAD Brussels until September 5. Open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 11AM to 6PM! More info? 👉 https://lnkd.in/ey-FFKwG

OPEN CALL 📣 Design a limited-edition series of upcycled fashion accessories for Win for Life!

Win for Life and MAD Brussels are launching an open call for designers based in Belgium, inviting them to imagine a limited-edition series of fashion accessories at the intersection of fashion, creativity, and responsible design.

Starting from materials sourced from Win for Life’s past activities and events, such as festival wristbands, T-shirts, banners, and other promotional items, creatives are invited to develop a distinctive unisex accessory for festival goers. The challenge is to transform these existing resources into an object that is desirable, meaningful, and aligned with a contemporary and sustainable vision.

Selected finalists will present their proposals to a jury composed of representatives from Win for Life and MAD Brussels. The winning designer will receive a €5,000 creative fee, as well as a production budget of €2,500 to produce a series of 25 pieces.

What’s your style? For Lieve Gerrits, styling is never disconnected from the world. It's a response to what is happening, to what is tense or shifting in the time we live in.

Trained in Fashion at the Royal Academy of Antwerp, Lieve Gerrits has been working as a freelance stylist since 1996, building an international practice that spans from Milan and Paris to Shenzhen and New York. Her editorial work appears in leading titles such as Knack Weekend, ELLE, Marie Claire, L’Officiel, De Morgen Magazine, De Standaard Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and Glamour, alongside international publications including DesignScene, RedThreat Journal, Kaltblut Magazine, Razor Red and Vogue Arabia. Lieve has been working as a choreographer and casting director for fashion shows since 2010. She also works as a backstage lead for shows in Paris and Milan for Chanel, Dior, Dries Van Noten, Alexander McQueen and others.

Discover the work of Lieve Gerrits and 10 other Belgian fashion stylists until September 5 at MAD Brussels. What's Your Style? is open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 11 AM to 6 PM. Free exhibition, reservation required. More info 👉 https://mad.brussels/en/agenda/2026/05/whats-your-style

OPEN CALL 📣 Turn GSK glass syringes into domestic lighting !

TRY AGAIN?, an initiative exploring the creative potential of industrial reuse launches its third and final open call for designers and makers, with the support of MAD Brussels. This last call invites creatives to transform reclaimed pharmaceutical glass syringes provided by GSK into domestic lighting objects: table lamps, floor lamps or portable lamps conceived as reproducible design pieces for everyday use.

The project starts from a simple observation: significant industrial materials are discarded despite their potential for reuse. In this context, participants are encouraged to explore how glass components can be reinterpreted into functional and desirable lighting objects, where the reclaimed material remains visible and central to the design language.

The winning finalist will benefit from mentorship sessions with designer Frederik Delbart to further develop the project, alongside a €4/500 award. Interested? Apply before Saturday, June 20 (23:59) 👉 https://www.try-again.eu/open-calls/frederik-delbart

“I think the objects I will present fit well within 3daysofdesign. The simplicity of the design and honesty of materials in my work are often also reflected in Scandinavian design." — Jord Lindelauf

Meet Jord Lindelauf, a Brussels-based designer and architect. He reinterprets everyday objects and creates designs that stand out in a subtle way. With his unique design style, Jord makes pieces that do not shout for attention, but effortlessly harmonize with their surroundings. It is this simplicity and honesty that defines and distinguishes his work. His work has already been presented at international design platforms such as Collectible Brussels and Paris Design Week.

From June 10 to 12, Jord Lindelauf will present his work at 3daysofdesign, the design fair in Copenhagen, together with Belgium is Design. We spoke with him about his sources of inspiration, his preparations for the fair, and his international ambitions.
