Our speaker spotlight series continues with Emanuel El Bertal, student at Apro Formazione (Italy), who will be joining the opening panel discussion themed "Global Citizenship Empowered by VET."

💡 VET trains adults and young people alike to become global citizens, supporting and education. Embedded in curricula, pedagogy and work-based learning, it prepares learners to engage responsibly in diverse communities, respond to and technological change, and contribute to more stable and cohesive societies.

A recent graduate of Apro Formazione with an EQF 4 vocational qualification in Industrial Automation, Emanuel has already built a rich international pathway: an Erasmus+ internship mobility in Granada, Spain, and a study visit in Kokkola, Finland, as part of an Erasmus+ KA2 project.

He was APRO Formazione's first-ever student representative, elected through a Jean Monnet project promoting and , and served for two consecutive years. He was also a senior member of "Gruppo NOI," a peer learning and support group fostering and preventing and . Now moving into transition-to-work services, Emanuel brings a fresh, first-hand perspective on what it means to grow as a global citizen through VET. 🌍

🖥️💫 DigiCraft 5.0 and its approach to skills enhancement

With its Expert Designer in Digital Fabrication curriculum, DigiCraft 5.0 project was able to connect creativity, design, digital tools, production and the enhancement of skills, under a European perspective.

The training modules developed in the project, rooted on a approach, guide learners from the acquisition of the fundamentals of digital design to the in-depth study of more advanced tools and processes.

The DigiCraft5.0 pilots, which allowed to experiement those training modules directly with the project’s target groups, took participants on a journey to become an Expert Designer in Digital Fabrication.

Claudio Robustelli speaks about his journey, rooted on the balance between theoretical and practical approaches to product making, which allowed him to develop key competences for his work as Graphic Designer.

💫💻 Expert Designer in Digital Fabrication and Industry 5.0

DigiCraft 5.0 is a project aimed to bridge the gap between artisan and the transformations brought by Industry 5.0.

To do so, the project has built the Expert Designer in Digital Fabrication curriculum, centred in digital fabrication, computational design, sustainable manufacturing, as well as new skills for contemporary production.

💡 As recently pointed out by our member ENGIM ONG's Osservatorio Giovani e Futuro, policy must reflect young people's real hopes and uncertainties and act on them.

💫💻 Expert Designer in Digital Fabrication – A coherent set of training modules that lead to the development of key technical and soft skills

The Expert Designer in Digital Fabrication is a highly specialised profile that integrates digital design skills, materials knowledge, the use of machinery and tools for advanced manufacturing, as well as prototyping capacity and the sensitivity to process sustainability.
