Day trip with Docomomo Belgium to Louvain-la-Neuve 🏙️ — the fully planned 1970s university town — here are a few photos from our latest excursion 📸

A highlight of the visit was the exemplary adaptive reuse of the former university library, now transformed into a museum 🏛️✨

Warm thanks to our guides David Vandenburgh and Carole Deferière, who also co-designed the conversion project 🙏

🖤 In Memoriam: Ruth Verde Zein

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Ruth Verde Zein – a renowned architect, researcher, and a guiding voice in Brazilian architecture.

As a dedicated and influential member of , Ruth’s contributions profoundly shaped our mission to preserve and promote modern architecture. Her scholarship, leadership, and passion have left an enduring mark on both the architectural community and our organization.

Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide generations to come.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and colleagues.

✨ Docomomo Belgium is happy to announce that a new issue of the Docomomo Journal has just been published! ✨

📖 DJ #73 was co-edited with the International Specialist Committee on Interior Design (ISC/ID), represented by guest editors and .borocz, President of Docomomo Belgium and co-chair of the ISC/ID.

🌍 Established in Lisbon in 2016, the ISC/ID has since grown and evolved, as reflected in its significant activities, including seminars, discussions, and publications.

🖋️ Editing this issue, titled Modern Interiors in Times of Crisis, has been a long and fruitful journey. We would like to thank the Editors-in-Chief, .pottgiesser and Wido Quist.
