Our Story

In the context of last years’ economic and social developments in Europe, a group of European Commission (EC) trainees founded Project 668 in April 2012. The idea was to fighting youth unemployment, and ensuring that young graduates and young professionals could find their place in the job market. Since then, Project 668 has devoted its efforts to building a growing community of talented professionals with the aim of mentoring them and helping them break into the job market. In 2014, Project 668 was among the finalists of the European Charlemagne Youth Prize; and, in the same year, the Team won the “Europe needs you 4 job creation” challenge. In 2015 Project 668 was officially registered in Belgium as an ASBL (Association Sans But Lucrative), a non-profit association with the aim of fighting youth unemployment by promoting professional development. In 2016 Project 668 launched its Membership Programme, through which young professionals and young graduates can interact with each other, share experiences and find mentorships in their first steps of their careers.

Among its core activities, Project 668 organises workshops and trainings on various topics ranging from career orientation to networking techniques. It provides guidance to its members, performing CV reviews, inspiring their inner drive and motivation, and organising networking events. Project 668 has also co-organised awareness-raising activities (i.e. the European Interns Day) and has organised and managed events of different scale (i.e. Run for Employment).

Project 668 Team strongly believes in the values of solidarity and #SharingIsCaring, which is at the core of all events and campaigns. Brussels being one of the most competitive job markets in Europe led the Team to believe that this altruistic value is worth spreading and needed.
