Mothers at Risk

MAR is an independent, international nonprofit organization devoted to safe motherhood and to promoting well being and survival of girls, women & mothers.

Registered in Brussels in 2009, MAR is the initiative of a group of women who felt a deep sense of solidarity with fellow mothers living in difficult circumstances. They established MAR to help change the odds for some of these women, their children and their families. MAR now counts on a growing and vibrant international network of people with a variety of skills, talents and resources and a comm

itment to the well-being of mothers. Our work is managed by an Executive Committee, which reports to a Governance Board, in turn supervised by a General Assembly of members. We consult regularly with an Advisory Group of practitioners and experts in fields of relevance to our work.
