• The last and the first photo with Sanzaru... the one of the day we bought him, the one of the day we sold him! These two photos are so similar and yet they are spaced of more than 3 years and half. We have lived so many things together on Sanzaru, we have grown as a sailor, as a person, as a couple. Thank you Sanzaru for allowing us to accomplish this beautiful adventure! 🥰

• La dernière et la première photo avec Sanzaru… celle du jour où on l’a acheté, celle du jour où on l’a vendu ! Ces deux photos se ressemblent tellement et pourtant elles sont espacées de plus de 3 ans et demi. On a vécu tellement de choses ensemble sur Sanzaru, on a grandit en tant que marin, en tant que personne, en tant que couple. Merci Sanzaru de nous avoir permis d’accomplir cette belle aventure ! 🥰

• BYE BYE SANZARU • It's been too long since we gave you any news, but a lot has happened in the last few months. We found a new host family for our little sailboat. Mid-December we handed over the keys of our faithful companion and said goodbye to him... 🥺 It hurts us to leave him, we lived so many memories with him! But we know he's in good hands, and it's time to let him go to live his next adventures on the water.

Thank you Sanzaru for allowing us to sail on the ocean and realize our dream until the end! 🤍

• BYE BYE SANZARU • Ça fait trop longtemps qu’on ne vous a pas donné de nouvelles, pourtant il s’en est passé des choses ces derniers mois. On a trouvé une nouvelle famille d’accueil pour notre petit voilier. Mi-décembre on a donc remis les clefs de notre fidèle compagnon et on lui a dit au revoir… 🥺 Ça nous fait mal de l’abandonner, on a vécu tellement de souvenir avec lui ! Mais on sait qu’il est entre de bonnes mains, et qu’il est temps de le laisser partir vivre ses prochaines aventures sur l’eau.

Merci Sanzaru de nous avoir permis de voguer sur l’océan et réaliser notre rêve jusqu’au bout ! 🤍

• 🎥🎬 « RETOUR PAR LE NORD » ⛵🌎 • Time flies and we didn't even take the time to thank you for this incredible evening! On November 30th, we had the honor to screen our film in front of more than 400 people, wow! What a joy to share our adventures with you, to hear you laugh at our funny faces or to have a complete silence during the difficult moments. We hope it inspires you to take the plunge and make your own dreams come true, whatever they may be! ✨

Also, thanks again to for hosting this beautiful evening! And thank you to everyone who attended that night! 🥰

• 🎥🎬 « RETOUR PAR LE NORD » ⛵🌎 • Le temps file et on a même pas pris le temps de vous remercier pour cette soirée de folie ! Le 30 novembre, on a eu l’honneur de projeter notre film devant plus de 400 personnes, wow ! Quel bonheur de vous partager nos aventures, de vous entendre rire devant nos grimaces ou d’avoir un silence complet lors des moments difficiles. • 🎥🎬 AVANT-PREMIERE ⛵🌎 • Et voilà, hier soir on présentait pour la première fois notre film « Retour par le Nord » au festival Into The Blue. Quelle soirée pleine d’émotion et de partage. On a été replongé dans nos souvenirs qui nous semblent parfois déjà presque un rêve lointain, mais non… c’était bien réel, on l’a fait notre tour de l’Atlantique ! Pour couronner le tout, on a gagné le PRIX DU PUBLIC, waw merci !! 🏆🥰

We were plunged back into our memories that sometimes already seem like a distant dream, but no... it was very real, we made it! To top it all off, we won the PUBLIC AWARD, wow thank you!!! 🏆🥰

• DAY 819 • The end of our expedition! ⛵🌎 That's it, we've completed our loop, 2 years and 3 months around the Atlantic on our little sailboat Sanzaru, 16243 nautical miles, 17 countries visited and 56 microplastic samples. It was a long way to go, we don't really realize we did it!

We slowly come back down to earth after a crazy welcome that you offered us last Sunday in Nieuwpoort. First a flotilla of boats on the water and then a crowd on the pier, followed by a sunny afternoon with everyone. It went by so fast!

• JOUR 819 • La fin de notre expédition ! ⛵🌎 Ça y est, on a bouclé notre boucle, 2 ans et 3 mois autour de l’Atlantique sur notre petit voilier Sanzaru, 16243 miles nautiques, 17 pays visités et 56 échantillons de microplastique. Ça en fait du chemin parcouru, on ne réalise pas trop !

On redescend tout doucement sur terre après un accueil de folie que vous nous avez réservé dimanche passé à Nieuwpoort. D’abord une flottille de bateaux sur l’eau et puis une foule sur l’estacade, suivi d’une après-midi ensoleillée avec tout le monde. C’est passé tellement vite !

Merci à tous d’être venus nous accueillir, on en avait les larmes aux yeux.
Merci au Rotary Bruxelles-Altitude d’avoir organisé tout ça, c’était incroyable !

• DAY 809 • We've crossed the English Channel! 🔜🇧🇪⛵And in 3 days we will be back in Nieuwpoort... We have to admit that it feels strange to be so close to the end, we don't really realize that we are living the last hours of sailing on our Sanzaru.

Our crossing of the Channel from Lowesoft to the Netherlands went well. Thanks to the light winds, there was no swell, what a happiness. We zigzagged between the fields of windmills and the parking lots with freighters. And we took a sample of microplastic obviously. 💪🏼 After 24 hours, we were on the other side, in the lock. We don't realize that we are there, only a few kilometers from our little Belgium! It's a very strange feeling, the end is here. But we look forward to seeing you on Sunday in Nieuwpoort for our little homecoming party. 🤍

• JOUR 809 • On a traversé la Manche ! 🔜🇧🇪⛵Et dans 3 jours on sera de retour à Nieuwpoort… On vous avoue que ça nous fait tout drôle d’être si proche de la fin, on se rend pas vraiment compte qu’on est entrain de vivre les dernières heures de navigations sur notre Sanzaru.

Notre traversée de la Manche depuis Lowesoft vers les Pays-Bas s’est bien passée. Grâce aux vents légers, il n’y avait aucune houle, quel bonheur. On a zigzagué entre les champs d’éoliennes et les parkings à cargos. Et on a pris un petit échantillon de microplastique évidemment. 💪🏼 Après 24 heures, on était de l’autre côté, dans l’écluse. On réalise tellement pas qu’on est là, à seulement quelques kilomètres de notre petite Belgique ! C’est un sentiment très étrange, la fin est là. Mais on se réjouit de vous voir dimanche à Nieuwpoort pour notre petite fête de retour. 🤍

A few days before the end of our journey, it is with a heavy heart that we put our dear Sanzaru on sale! A fully equipped offshore sailboat, ready to set off on an adventure across the oceans. We hope that he will find new owners who will continue to sail him beyond the horizon.
