Last night at Cinรฉma Palace, something shifted in the room.
We came together for the Brussels premiere of "Toza Batu*, a regeneration tale from the Congo Basin" and left reminded of something essential: we are all human.
We are all connected.
To each other, and to the living systems that sustain us.
Before anything else : the communities. The women and men at the heart of this film, planting trees, making decisions, choosing the future. Everything starts with them. Everything returns to them.
The conversation that followed was rich, honest, and far too short but that's a good sign. Our panellists Cecilia Julve Larrubia (Nature+ asbl), Aymeric Roussel (EU commission) and Eric Dierckx (Positive Impact Team) brought depth, field reality and sharp thinking to the table.
We'll pick this up again because this conversation is just getting started.
And then there was Mr John D Liu. A man who has dedicated his life to proving that healing the Earth is not a dream : it is a choice. Having him in that room, on that stage, was a privilege we don't take lightly.
