Happy to everyone! 🚲

3 June is dedicated to celebrate one of our favourite ways to move: the bicycle 🚴

Cycling is not only accessible and affordable, but it is also one of the most climate-friendly ways to experience urban mobility 🌱

Planning for inclusive cycling infrastructure is essential for healthy and sustainable cities, where is a priority.

To celebrate, we highlight some inspiring activities organised during 2025:
🐶 Cycling parade with space for all in 🇨🇾
🤝 Cycling lessons for residents in Batumi 🇬🇪 with in the Spotlight “Next Cyclist is You”
🍏 Breakfast for cyclists in 🇸🇰 organised by the local administration
🎒 Cycling activities for children in kindergarten with the 'We Can Cycle!' campaign in Ringsted 🇳🇴

2025 brought inclusive, sustainable mobility to the centre of the conversation in 🇩🇪

On 20th September 2025, the local transport association organised a public training session designed to make bus travel easier, safer, and more welcoming for everyone.

🧓 Visitors were invited to step into the shoes of a person with limited mobility navigating public transport 👉 spotlighting everyday barriers and challenges.

Perfectly aligned with our 2026 focus on “Intergenerational Fairness” 🤝

What could look like across generations? 👧🏽🧓🏻

This year, puts Intergenerational Fairness at the centre of the conversation, encouraging people to envision more inclusive mobility systems that meet the needs of both current and future generations.

We invite cities and towns across Europe to:
🔹 Design spaces where generations can meet, move and exchange.
🔹 Provide safe and reliable mobility services that accommodate all generations and support healthier lifestyles.
🔹 Remove physical and digital barriers from transport systems.
🔹 Plan responsibly for the cities of tomorrow, with innovations that serve both present and future generations.

⭐ Let’s work together to make accessible to all, regardless of the generation they belong to! 🙌

In 2026, is focusing on Intergenerational Fairness 🤝

EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK shines a spotlight on intergenerational fairness, building on the 2025 theme 💙

This focus invites us to look at how everyday journeys work for people of all ages and generations. From children and young people to adults and seniors, mobility should be available, accessible, affordable, safe and sustainable, regardless of age, income, location, gender or abilities.

Whether it’s public transport, walking or cycling, intergenerational fairness means creating transport systems that support independence, connection and quality of life.

🌍 Let’s rethink every journey and ensure fair mobility choices for everyone!
