Have you ever studied abroad or thought about doing it?

Episode 3 of our podcast is now live โ–ถ๏ธŽ โ€ขแŠแŠ||แŠ|แ‹|||| | ๐Ÿ’™

In this episode of YOUth Got a Point, Florina & Yannic are joined by a special guest, Oana, from our Y Vote 2025 team, to talk about something many of us experienceโ€ฆ

From Erasmus+ to full degrees abroad, in this episode, we talk about:
๐ŸŽ“ how studying abroad shapes who we are
๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ whether it makes us feel more โ€œEuropeanโ€
๐Ÿค” and whether these opportunities are actually for everyoneโ€ฆ or just a few

No serious discussions, just personal stories and honest reflections, and a conversation youโ€™ve probably had at some point, too.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Of course, we also want to hear from you: Do you feel more European after studying or travelling abroad?

๐ŸŽง Listen now on Spotify & SoundCloud, and soon on Amazon (link in our bio or on www.yvote.eu/podcast).

We have big news for youth in Europe ๐Ÿ””

The ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง United Kingdom will rejoin Erasmus+ from 2027! After Brexit, the EU asked the government to pay a fee to stay in the programme, but they deemed it too expensive, so they officially quit in 2021.

Over 100,000 young people could now benefit from this agreement. ๐Ÿ‘

What does this mean for young people:
๐Ÿ’กnew opportunities to study, volunteer, and gain experience abroad;
๐Ÿคit reconnects youth organisations across Europe to collaborate on even more initiatives;
๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ and it strengthens ties between the UK and the EU after years apart.

We canโ€™t wait to see more opportunities for youth mobility and cross-border connections!

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ฐ Denmark just voted in its general electionsโ€ฆ but no one really โ€œwonโ€ ๐Ÿ‘€

People in Denmark went to the polls on March 24 to elect members of the Folketing, Denmarkโ€™s unicameral national parliament. The results? A bit inconclusive.

Here are a few takeaways from the elections!

๐Ÿ‘‰ The elections took place earlier than predicted.
๐Ÿ‘‰ No party got enough votes to rule alone.
๐Ÿ‘‰ Prime Minister Mette Frederiksenโ€™s party is still the biggest, but lost support.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The PM actually presented the government's resignation today.
๐Ÿค Now the real discussions begin: coalition negotiations.

Did you vote in Denmark this week? Or are you following the elections from somewhere else?

Join us on๐ŸŽ™๏ธYOUth Got a Point while we look into why young people vote, why their voting turnout is sometimes lower and if voting is still the most powerful way to shape democracy. Or is real change happening somewhere else? ๐Ÿค”

Don't expect complicated politics, just a conversation between friends about democracy, youth participation, and the choices young people face today.

๐ŸŽง Listen now on Spotify & SoundCloud (www.yvote.eu/podcast)!

๐Ÿ’ฌ And we also want to hear from YOUth: Do you vote? And do you think it actually makes a difference?

Do you remember when your country voted YES to joining the EU? ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ For many of us, that happened way before we were even born.

Now ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ Iceland might get a new chance to decide its future with the European Union.

๐Ÿ”” Earlier this month, Iceland announced a referendum on August 29 on whether to restart negotiations to join the EU.

Iceland applied to join in 2009 during the financial crisis, but talks were frozen in 2013 after political changes. The application was officially withdrawn in 2015.

๐Ÿค So what happens now?

If Icelanders vote YES in August, negotiations with the EU could restart, and once they finish, there would likely be another national vote before joining.

Right now, the EU has 27 member states since the exit of ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง United Kingdom in 2020.

๐Ÿ‘€ Will you vote in August or be following this referendum?

๐ŸŽ™๏ธYOUth Got a Point is officially live!

Join us in this journey while we explore one big question per episode about youth participation, activism, and decision-making in Europe.

From volunteering to voting, grassroots initiatives to EU politics, we unpack topics that we love and are relevant to YOUth.

๐ŸŽง Episode 1 is out now: Do politicians listen to YOUth?

In our very first episode, Yannic and Florina dive into a question youโ€™ve probably debated a few times at 2am at an AEGEE event. ๐Ÿ‘€ We talk about where youth voice matters and whether it leads to real change. No lectures or slow interviews, just an informal discussion between friends ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ Do politicians actually listen to young people?

Okay, tonight, we've got a question for you!

If you are a young person in Europe, be honest.
Do you feel heard?
Or does it sometimes feel like decisions are made about you...without you? ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ“ข We are launching a podcast soon, and your message can be part of it! So send us your opinion:

๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡พ Cyprus took the lead in the this year, and here is what you need to know about it!

Hi again! ๐Ÿ‘‹ Our campaign is back on track, and we're starting with some content.

Every six months, a different EU country takes over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, helping moderate discussions, organise negotiations, and shape the EU agenda.

While the Presidency doesnโ€™t โ€œrunโ€ the EU, it sets priorities and guides conversations on key topics, so that's why you should follow it closely!

๐Ÿ’ฌ And yes, that includes a space for youth dialogue and political discussions/decisions where our issues must be represented. Europe moves forward one Presidency at a time, so stay informed! ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ

PS: the Council's traineeship programme is now open for applications until 19 March โŒ›

Europe celebrates Christmas in over 20 languages, so from first-time voters to democracy lovers everywhere, we wish you the best holidays with your loved ones! โ„๏ธ๐ŸŽ„

This year, young voices echoed across borders, ballots, and debates, from local elections all the way to Brussels. And while Europe celebrates in many languages and traditions, one thing unites us all, the power to shape our continent's future.

Wherever you are, however you celebrate, we wish you lots of rest, happy moments and hope for 2026.
See you next year, louder and more involved than ever, ready to keep using our voices for Europe and democracy! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ
