17 May marks the day the removed homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases in 1990.

Today reminds us that human rights, dignity and safety should NEVER depend on someone’s sexual orientation, gender identity or expression.

While progress has been made, LGBTQIA+ communities around the world still face discrimination, violence, censorship and exclusion - both online and offline.

At a time when hate speech and attacks on human rights are increasing globally, solidarity matters more than ever!

It’s important to remember that education creates understanding! Visibility creates change! And community creates safety! Let’s stand up for one other!

🏳️‍🌈 Human rights are for everyone!

Building a youth work ecosystem is a promise for active, open, lively youth. However, there are a lot of shortcomings along the way.

Read what is the situation of youth work policies in the Western Balkan countries in our publication "Policy Dimensions of Youth Work Recognition in Western Balkans".

We believe the world needs more — and more accessible — human rights education.

Human Rights Education is not just learning about rights.
It’s living those values — fairness, justice, empathy, solidarity.
It’s centering lived experiences, amplifying excluded voices, and transforming unjust systems.
It’s standing up, speaking out, and building alliances.

✨ At HREYN, this is how we work.
We’re intersectional. We learn and unlearn. We challenge discrimination and oppressive systems.

👉 If this speaks to you — we want you on board.
💼 As a Board Member, you will:
