Donate to the soup kitchen in El Geneina hospital! In line with previous campaigns, the SSN is launching a fundraising campaign to support grassroots initiatives across Sudan. The Women’s Emergency Response Room (ERR) of El Geneina (capital of West Darfur) organises a daily soup kitchen of 500 meals in the city hospital. This way the hospital can keep on functioning. They need €1500 per week to cover the costs. Contribute one time or on a recurring basis to support this initiative! Every contribution counts.

Nous collectons des livres (de préférence en arabe), des magazines, des cartes postales et des lettres pour les jeunes Soudanais injustement détenus dans les prisons grecques, dans le cadre d’une collaboration entre BiblioCafe Steki La Zone à Athènes, 50outofmany et Mataris.

ولأن الوطن، في النهاية، ليس مكانًا نعود إليه فحسب، بل أناسًا لا يكف القلب عن الحنين إلى حضورهم مهما طال الغياب."

يكتب الفاتح صديق من بروكسل، بينما يدخل السودان عامه الرابع من الحرب المضادة للثورة، من دون أي أفق لنهايتها. في هذا النص المؤلم والجميل، والبالغ الخصوصية، يشارك الفاتح تجربته في ما يعنيه أن يُجبر الإنسان على المنفى؛ وما الذي تعنيه الحرب والعنف حقًا لمن اقتُلِعوا من ديارهم؛ وما معنى أن يفتقد المرء وطنه كل يوم، وأن يظل يبحث عنه في كل مكان. إنها تجربة يمكن للكثيرين أن يجدوا أنفسهم فيها، سواء كانوا من السودان أم لا.

“Car la patrie, au fond, n’est pas seulement un lieu où l’on retourne ; ce sont des êtres dont le cœur ne cesse jamais de désirer la présence, quelle que soit la durée de l’absence.”

À l’occasion de l’entrée du Soudan dans sa quatrième année de guerre contre-révolutionnaire, sans aucune perspective de fin, Elfatih Siddig écrit depuis Bruxelles. Dans ce texte aussi poignant que profondément personnel, il partage ce que signifie être contraint à l’exil ; ce que la violence et la guerre représentent réellement pour celles et ceux qui ont été déplacés ; ce que signifie avoir le mal du pays chaque jour et le chercher partout. Une expérience à laquelle beaucoup peuvent s’identifier, que l’on soit soudanais ou non.

On March 26, 2026, SSN marched in solidarity with other collectives and individuals in the anti-NSV demonstration in Leuven, against the NSV’s fascist and dehumanising call for ‘remigration’. Just months later in June, we bear witness to the structural and legal concretisation of this call, as the EU horrendously advances the EU Migration Pact and pushes through new deportations regulations, expanding detention, tearing families apart and codifying violent removal into European policy, while EU lawmakers shamelessly chant “send them back”.

Dehumanisation never stays contained. This new era of European law pushes the lines of what our societies are willing to accept. If you think these regulations do not include you, and therefore, not one you feel inclined to protest and actively fight against, let us remind you of Omar El Akkad’s words “Forget pity. Forget even the dead, if you must. But at least fight against the theft of your soul.” Why? Because “no terrible thing is coming for you in some distant future. But know that a terrible thing is happening to you now.” (p.88 from El Akkad’s book One Day, We Will All Have Been Against This).

The “Them” they are chanting about is You. Me. Us. And it won’t end here.

From the workers of Belgium to the workers of Sudan, we marched this May Day on the internationalist block centering the revolutionaries of Sudan.

Together, we raised our banner for Muzan Alneel whose dedication to the people and grassroots movements will forever be a guiding light in the our struggle. From leading protests and speeches to supporting the material needs of the masses to her rigorous political analyses, Muzan’s influence lives on in our fight against the imperialist and elite wars waging across the globe.

While her recent passing has devastated our communities, our movement remains committed to carrying her woks forward here in the imperial core. We continue the struggle through an internationalist framework of change, until the revolutionary demands of freedom peace and justice are actualized.

Viva, viva Sudan.

نعزي في شبكة التضامن مع السودان في بلجيكا انفسنا وجموع المجتمع السوداني والمناضلين من أجل الحرية والعدالة في المنطقة وجميع اطراف العالم فقدنا الأليم بوفاة نوارة الفريق مزن النيل.

افكار وافعال مزن كانت وما تزال منارة يهتدى بها وكلمة حق تؤرق الطغاة وتنغص مضاجعهم، من مساحات النضال على أرض الثورة خطابا جماهيريا يوحد الصف وينير البصيرة الى مد جسور التضامن والنقد البناء فكرا وبصيرة في مقالات ومداخلات مع رفاق النضال في المنطقة والعالم الى مساهماتها الهامة في مجال التنمية والسياسات الصناعية التي تركز على الانسان في مركز استناد الذي قادت تأسيسه ومنشوراتها العلمية التي تنير وتعبد طريقا الى غد يحفظ كرامة الانسان الكادح ورخائه.

حين فقدنا مزن فقدنا عقلا ثوريا متقدا وروحا سخية العطاء تؤرخ وتنقد وتوجه، عدوا شرسا لكل أنظمة الاضطهاد وحليفا لا يساوم لنضال الشعوب كأنما تقول بلسان حميد “بلقى حبايب فى كل حتة وكل بيوت الفقراء بيوتى”.

غابت مزن ويبقي ارثها معنا نحتفي به اليوم وغدا رغم مرارة الفقد وتوالي الأوجاع والحرب في السودان تستهل عامها الرابع. ندعوكم لمشاركتنا في تأبين ذكراها احتفاءا بحياتها وعملها، نقرأ فيه ما كتبت، ونسمع ونشاهد ما قالت، على عهد ان نظل أوفياءا لطريقها الواضح السهل الممتنع “موقفي السياسي انو الناس ما تتقتل”.
