The Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (CCBP) warmly welcomes 𝗡𝘂𝗻𝗼 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀 as the new 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 Visit Portugal 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁.

With 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 within the organisation, including responsibilities in 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, as well as serving as 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗦 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁, Nuno Miguel Alves brings valuable expertise to his new position.

We also extend our 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗼𝘀𝗼 for her excellent collaboration with the CCBP over the years and 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝘂𝗺. As part of the organisation's new strategy, Susana will now focus exclusively on the Dutch market. We wish her continued success! 🇳🇱

𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 and bringing Portugal and Belgium closer together. From mainland Portugal to the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores, the diversity and richness of Portugal's destinations offer tremendous opportunities for tourism development, investment and bilateral cooperation.

In September, the Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce (CCBP) was delighted to host the 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 (RCCPM) in Brussels.

Bringing together chambers of commerce from across the network, the gathering provided a 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 to strengthen ties, exchange insights and experiences from different markets, and 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗲 in supporting the internationalisation of Portuguese businesses.

The occasion also marked an important milestone in the network’s continued growth, as we welcomed two new members: 𝗖𝗖𝗣𝗕𝗥 (𝗥𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗮), represented by 𝗡𝘂𝗻𝗼 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮, and 𝗖𝗖𝗩𝗣 (𝗩𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘇𝘂𝗲𝗹𝗮). We look forward to building strong and fruitful partnerships with both chambers.

✈️🏝️ Following two productive days in Lisbon, the second stage of our Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce + Câmara de Comércio Luso-Belga-Luxemburguesa CCLBL 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 has begun in 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹!

Over the coming days, the delegation will discover 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮'𝘀 𝗱𝘆𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺, with a programme focusing on innovation, sustainability, and regional development, and aiming to 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘄𝗮𝘆 as well as to further strengthen ties between Belgium and Portugal's autonomous regions.

While in Funchal, the delegation will have valuable opportunities to meet with representatives from 𝗦.𝗗.𝗠. - 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗱𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮, Eutelsat, Madeira W**e Company, the '𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗹' 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺, ARDITI, the 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹, ACIF, the 𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗕𝗔 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲 and 𝗕𝗔𝗠 (𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺). They will also attend a reunion with former MEP 𝗡𝘂𝗻𝗼 𝗧𝗲𝗶𝘅𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮, and a dinner meeting with Invest Madeira and the Regional Secretary of Economy, José Manuel Rodrigues

New bridges are about to be built between business communities overseas. 🤝

🤝 Our 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 continues to hold important meetings in Lisbon to strengthen economic and business relations between Portugal and Belgium.

Today, the delegation from the Belgian-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and the Câmara de Comércio Luso-Belga-Luxemburguesa met with AICEP and 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂ê𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 discuss investment, internationalisation and opportunities for closer ties between the two markets.

It was also a special occasion to catch up with a friend of the CCBP, 𝗥𝘂𝗶 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹𝗼 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮𝘀, who has returned to AICEP Lisbon following his posting in Brussels. It is always a pleasure to see those who contribute to strengthening relations between the Belgian and Portuguese business communities.

𝗟𝗶𝘀𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 for our delegation, where over the next two days it will explore 𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗻, 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝘆, with meetings and visits focused on investment, technology, sustainability, and internationalisation.

The programme includes exchanges with key institutions in the Portuguese economic ecosystem, such as BNP Paribas, Grupo Ageas Portugal, EY, AICEP, 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗼 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂ê𝘀 𝗱𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼 and Santander Portugal.

The delegation will also attend a 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀 at his residence, bringing together people, companies and institutions from the Belgian-Portuguese business community.

🇵🇹 | Hoje, 𝟱 𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗯𝗿𝗼, assinalamos o 𝗗𝗶𝗮 𝗱𝗮 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮çã𝗼 𝗱𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝗽ú𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗮, revisitando os acontecimentos de 1910. Na sequência da revolução republicana iniciada em Lisboa, esta data representa um momento decisivo na história política e institucional de Portugal, marcando o fim da Monarquia Constitucional e o início da Primeira República Portuguesa.

Mais de um século depois, o 5 de Outubro continua a ser uma data de reflexão sobre a história, os valores e a evolução democrática do país.

🇬🇧 | Today, 𝟱 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, we mark the 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰, looking back at the events of 1910. Following the republican revolution that began in Lisbon, this date represents a decisive moment in Portugal’s political and institutional history, marking the end of the Constitutional Monarchy and the beginning of the First Portuguese Republic.

More than a century later, 5 October remains a day for reflection on the country’s history, values and democratic development.

We could not have asked for a better way to round off a busy week of events at the CCBP. 🇵🇹🇧🇪🇪🇺

Yesterday’s "𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸𝘀" with 𝗚𝗼𝗻ç𝗮𝗹𝗼 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶ç𝗼 gave us the opportunity to draw on his extensive experience and, above all, on the truly multidisciplinary perspective shaped by such a diverse and rich professional journey.

From 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗿𝘀 and 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗰𝘆 to 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀, we explored how decisions are shaped, how businesses can engage effectively with policymakers, and how the relationship between the public and private sectors is evolving in an increasingly complex European landscape.

A particularly insightful conversation, enriched by Gonçalo’s ability to 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹, 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 of the issues we discussed.
