What skills turn a volunteer into a changemaker❓👀

During EGM Split 2026, we asked you to capture what makes you more than a volunteer, the skills, values, and experiences that help you create change in your community.

Because changemaking does not happen overnight. It grows through the skills we build, the communities we support, and the actions we choose to take.

What's your answer? Share with us in the comments! ⬇️

📢👂Young people have spoken and are calling on Europe to listen.

When they speak out, they bring forward the voices of a generation ready to take part in shaping their communities. But to turn their ideas into action, young people need the right tools, spaces, and opportunities to be heard, to connect with others, and to engage meaningfully in civic life.

That is where initiatives like the project come into play: creating spaces for dialogue, strengthening critical thinking, and supporting young changemakers is crucial for building a more democratic, inclusive, and united Europe where young people are not only heard, but actively involved in shaping their future. 💪

Welcome to the Erasmus Cribs! 🎬🍿

Meet Cristina, an Erasmus+ student from Norway now living in Gdańsk, Poland. She’s taking us on a full tour of her dorm room and showing us what studying abroad actually looks like. What about you? Do you prefer living alone, with flatmates? And what is your most unhinged housing story from your Erasmus, the good, the bad, the ugly? ☕️👀

If youth action were a recipe, passion would not be the only ingredient.🍳🤌🏻

Lasting impact depends on local insight, diverse voices, clear roles, adaptability, and continuous reflection. These elements ensure that initiatives respond to real needs rather than assumptions.

Democracy is strengthened when young people participate in structured, inclusive, and informed ways. Understanding context, sharing responsibility, and evaluating impact are not just organisational practices; they are democratic ones.

If you deal with academic catalogues, you know the information is there, but not always easy to find, compare, or trust. Formats vary, systems don’t always “speak” to each other, and supporting students through this complexity takes time and effort.

Since 2024, DACEM partners have been working to improve catalogues by making them more accessible, consistent, up to date, and interoperable, and are now ready to share their key insights and solutions.

Erasmus+ internships abroad can be a really good opportunity, but for a lot of students it’s not always that simple or accessible.

Sometimes it’s financial pressure, sometimes it’s not knowing how the system works, sometimes language or disability-related barriers, sometimes just feeling like it’s not really “for you”.

The IN-KEY Project, together with European Student Network, is working across Europe to make Erasmus+ internships more inclusive and actually easier to access for all students.

Right now we’re collecting real student input through a short survey and an online focus group.

💬 survey takes around 5 minutes
🗣️ focus group: 30 June, 2:00 PM CET (Zoom)

Participants will get a participation certificate for their CV and may also get early access to inclusive internship opportunities within the project. Moreover, they will get a chance to the chance of being selected for the final IN-KEY Conference in Brussels in 2027.👀
