💻🎭 A dystopian audiovisual performance in which AI becomes a new kind of deity. A mobile station merging music education and urban research in Lisbon. A dance performance merging AI and live bodies.

✨ These are only a few examples of Creative FLIP's Cross-Sectoral Pioneers programme. These case studies showcase collaborations between professionals from the Cultural and Creative Sectors and experts from diverse fields.

🎨 Participants explored new ideas at the intersection of creativity, technology, sustainability, science, education, and social innovation, resulting in tangible outcomes and fresh approaches to cross-disciplinary collaboration.

🎉 IT'S A WRAP!

💚 On Tuesday 9 June our final conference took place in Brussels! Under the title "FLIP Together: Imagining Creative Futures", policymakers and cultural and creative stakeholders came together to connect, reflect, and look into what lies ahead.

💙 Over the past 7,5 years, Creative FLIP has explored how resilience can be strengthened across levels: individual, organisational, sectoral and ecosystemic. Through research, pooling of information, policy work, peer learning, and experimentation, the project has helped imagine how the CCS can thrive in a rapidly changing world. The conference brought all these insights together, highlighting the importance of shared knowledge, fairer approaches to finances and working conditions, continuous learning opportunities and policies grounded in the realities of creative work.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who joined us in Brussels and online, and to all partners, guest speakers, facilitators, and participants who contributed to these important conversations. Our special thanks to Comissioner Glenn Micallef for delivering the keynote address.

✨ Creative FLIP Final Conference on 9 June 2026!

Creative FLIP is happy to announce its Final Conference on Tuesday, 9 June 2026 at La Tricoterie, Brussels!

This full-day event will offer a unique platform for collaboration and dialogue, bringing together stakeholders from across the Cultural and Creative Sectors and Industries to present and discuss the project’s main outcomes.

Elvira Crois, researcher in Arts Education at the Vrije Universiteit Brussels (Belgium), and Bob Lundgreen from the Danish art collective Nyskaben, present Cave Walk: a fusion of art, geology and immersive VR that invites you to walk through underground worlds, without ever leaving your seat 🖲️⛰️

By combining high-resolution 3D scans, multi-user VR and interactive storytelling, the team turned real lava caves into vivid, scientifically grounded virtual spaces.

📢 Out now: Green Storytelling through Art, Culture, and Heritage

With the series of Creative FLIP (CULTURE) POLICY ORIENTATIONS, we explore some of the main challenges in the European Union with the objective to better integrate culture (policy) in transformation areas.

💡 In the most recent Orientation Policy paper, our topic expert Sylvia Amann focuses on the role of transformational (cultural) policy making – in particular related to green storytelling.

Telling stories is not an easy task; embedding storytelling in green transformation (policies) of the European Union is even more complex.

📢Artists, individuals, collectives, and organizations based in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, and Belgium are invited to apply with proposals for:

• Art Production Support Scheme, intended for artistic and literary projects that explore the themes of care and gender.
• Care Initiatives Scheme, intended for knowledge-based, educational, and community-rooted projects that engage with the themes of care and gender beyond conventional artistic formats.
