MIJARC Europe

MIJARC Europe is a movement comprised of 170,000 youths aged between 12 to 30 years who commit themselves to supporting sustainable rural development.

The International Movement of Agricultural Rural Youth (MIJARC) Europe is a non-profit youth organisation of and for young people in the rural world with a Christian identity. We strive to implement and raise awareness about environmental protection, food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, human rights, gender equality, European citizenship, and interculturality by organising camps, seminars, and other non-formal learning opportunities either online or in-person.

🎄✨ Christmas Across Our Community ✨🎄
Today, 7 January, marks the last day when members of our network celebrate Christmas: a beautiful reminder of the diversity and richness within our community.
The vast majority of our members celebrate Christmas on 25 December, while our Armenian member organisation celebrates on 6 January, together with the Epiphany and the Baptism of Jesus.
Many Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on 7 January, following a different calendar tradition.
Different dates, different traditions, but the same message of hope, light, peace, and togetherness.
At MIJARC Europe, we value this diversity and see it as a strength. It reminds us that even when we celebrate in different ways or at different times, we are connected by shared values and a common spirit.
Wishing a warm and peaceful Christmas to all who celebrate today, and sending gratitude and light to everyone in our community✨

Today, as we celebrate , we take a moment to pause, reflect, and look back on the journey we have shared this year.
Christmas is a time that invites us to slow down and to reflect on what truly matters - peace, solidarity, and care for one another. As part of our work this year, we dedicated time to evaluating our actions, our impact, and the spaces we created, asking ourselves honest questions about how our work contributes to peace in everyday ways.
Through our activities, partnerships, and collective efforts, we have worked to strengthen dialogue, inclusion, and understanding - especially alongside rural young people across Europe. This evaluation reminded us that peace is not only an idea, but something we build step by step through listening, cooperation, and shared responsibility.
May this Christmas bring peace to your hearts, warmth to your homes, and hope for the year ahead. 🎄✨
