MIJARC Europe

MIJARC Europe is a movement comprised of 170,000 youths aged between 12 to 30 years who commit themselves to supporting sustainable rural development.

The International Movement of Agricultural Rural Youth (MIJARC) Europe is a non-profit youth organisation of and for young people in the rural world with a Christian identity. We strive to implement and raise awareness about environmental protection, food sovereignty, sustainable agriculture, human rights, gender equality, European citizenship, and interculturality by organising camps, seminars, and other non-formal learning opportunities either online or in-person.

📣 Join the School of Influencers and become a multiplier of knowledge in your region!

The School of Influencers brings together young people from across Europe who want to learn how to communicate, campaign, and bring the message about the need to reboot our food system to other young people and wider society. 🌱📢

During 2–3 intensive days, you’ll develop new skills, connect with a European network, build confidence, and learn how to create messages that travel beyond the activity itself.

✨ What is covered by us?
Your participation includes:
- 🍽️ All meals during the activity
- 🚆 Travel costs
- 🏨 Accommodation for the full duration of the activity

📍 Activities will take place in different European countries, with each location announced for the respective edition.

Plans in motion from Nice! 🇫🇷🌍

On 11–12 September, the MIJARC Europe team met to prepare the next major steps.

Our discussions focused on:
• final preparations for the upcoming Youth Conference in Brussels
• the School of Influencers and future multiplier activities across Europe
• preparations for the European Coordination meeting

🌱 Food.Future.Action.

From Bremen to Vrees, 25 young people from different European countries came together for a week of learning, exchange and new experiences.

In Bremen, participants explored sustainable food systems while developing their communication and facilitation skills through the School of Influencers. In Vrees, they had the opportunity to put these skills into practice at the KLJB Bundestreffen, engaging with hundreds of young people and sharing MIJARC Europe’s work.

Beyond the workshops and activities, the week was also about meeting new people, discovering different cultures and realities, and building connections across Europe. 🌍

A big I thank you to everyone who made this journey possible!

From 10–12 July, the MIJARC Europe team came together in Brussels for an intensive planning meeting focused on shaping the months ahead.

Over three days, we:
🌱 Planned upcoming activities and priorities
🤝 Discussed how to strengthen engagement with our Member Organisations (MOs)
💬 Reflected on feedback from our General Assembly to improve future events

We also had the opportunity to meet with KLJ, one of our Member Organisations, exchanging perspectives on the future of MIJARC Europe and discussing how we can better support and engage with them.

Thank you to everyone who contributed with ideas, energy, and commitment. Together, we’re building a stronger future for rural youth across Europe! 💚🌍

🌱 Bringing young rural voices to the European Parliament.

MIJARC Europe was proud to contribute to an important dialogue on food security, climate action, and the future of rural livelihoods.

Through our representative, Sophie Utner, we made sure the perspectives of young people from rural communities were part of the conversation. Because the future of agriculture and rural Europe must be shaped with young people, not just for them. 💚
