When women reach the highest levels of political leadership, it is often presented as a sign of progress. But the circumstances in which they are asked to lead matter too.
🔎The “glass cliff” does not explain every appointment, nor does it call any leader’s competence into question. Instead, it invites us to ask: do women and men inherit the same chances of success when they reach the top?
Progress is not only about who gets to lead. It is also about the conditions they are given to succeed ⚖️
