🎉 Our journey meeting the winners of the + call continues!

🌊 We move to , where we are delighted to introduce Neofytos Cultural Organization. Through its activities, Neofytos aims to strengthen social entrepreneurship and inclusion in Cyprus, supporting sustainable social enterprises and creating opportunities for meaningful participation and employment.

🤝 Today, Neofytos, together with the Cyprus Employers & Industrialists Federation (OEB) - Ομοσπονδία Εργοδοτών & Βιομηχάνων (ΟΕΒ), are hosting the event “Social Entrepreneurship and Inclusion: From the Idea to Participation, Employment and Social Change”, bringing together key stakeholders to raise awareness of the legal framework, support mechanisms and opportunities for social enterprises, while encouraging collaboration and knowledge exchange.

🌱 This initiative contributes to promoting inclusive employment, equal opportunities and social impact in Cyprus. Stay tuned as we share more insights and highlights about Neofytos and their initiative.

📢 ENSIE joins the Coalition in calling on EU leaders to safeguard social investment in the 2028–2034 EU budget. Ahead of the European Council meeting on 15–16 October, the coalition addressed an open letter to EU Heads of State and Government, urging them to prioritise social inclusion and territorial cohesion.

🤝 Together, we call for an ambitious EU budget, stronger protection of the and , an increase in the social spending target from 14% to at least 25%, and dedicated funding for social innovation and social economy actors.

💪 For , strong EU funding is essential to creating quality employment opportunities and fostering social inclusion. Investing in people means investing in Europe's future.

🎥 Manuela Vollmann, ENSIE’s Vice-President, chairwoman of arbeit plus and founder of ABZ Austria, has been part of our network’s journey since its early years. In her special anniversary message, she looks back on the evolution of ENSIE and the movement, reflecting on the progress achieved and the impact of WISEs on people’s lives.

💬 Earlier this week, ENSIE attended the event “Quality Jobs for All”, organised by the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament. During the discussion ENSIE's Policy Officer, Baptiste Vasseur, asked Nicolas Schmit, former European Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights and a key contributor to the Social Economy Action Plan, for his views on the absence of the social economy from the debates surrounding quality jobs.

👏 ENSIE was pleased to hear former Commissioner Schmit acknowledge the importance of the social economy and encourage the current Commissioner and Executive Vice-President Roxana Minzatu to ensure its inclusion in the upcoming Act.

📣 We call again on Commissioner Mînzatu to ensure that the upcoming Act includes ambitious measures to recognise and strengthen the role of the social economy in creating quality, inclusive jobs for all!

🎯 This call echoes ENSIE's joint statement signed by more than 50 civil society organisations representing social economy organisations, VET providers, non-profit social service providers and other stakeholders: for all cannot be achieved without recognising the contribution of the social economy.

🤝 Behind every growing network are people coming together, sharing ideas and working towards a common goal.

📸 This week's celebrating ENSIE's takes us back to ENSIE's 2004 General Assembly!

🌍 Connections grew, and so did ENSIE! In its first 5 years of activity, ENSIE's network already had expanded to 12 members across 8 European countries, bringing together more organisations committed to the social and professional inclusion of people facing barriers to employment.

💙 25 years later, these connections remain at the heart of what we do: strengthening cooperation, supporting and advocating for a more inclusive Europe.

🎉 Congratulations to ΠΟΚοιΣΠΕ Ομοσπονδία Κοινωνικών Συνεταιρισμών (Pokoispe), one of the winners of ENSIE's + Call!

🤝 Through its initiative “Exchange of Good Practices among the Social Cooperatives of Limited Liability (KoiSPE) in Greece”, POKoiSPE aims to strengthen cooperation among social cooperatives across Greece.

💡 By bringing together KoiSPE from different regions, the initiative will encourage the exchange of experiences, showcase successful practices and achievements, and foster mutual learning and stronger networks.

🌱 This project highlights the power of collaboration in strengthening work integration, promoting social inclusion through work and laying the foundations for future joint initiatives.

🤝 Meet CDP Globus (CDP "Globus"), one of the five organisations selected for financial support through +! Through its project “Be WISE plus – Strengthening the National Network of Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) and Social Economy Actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, CDP Globus will revitalise and strengthen the national network and the wider social economy ecosystem.

💡 The project will bring together 10–15 active organisations to strengthen communication and cooperation, facilitate knowledge exchange and stakeholder dialogue, and develop a Network Cooperation and Development Framework with a clear mission, objectives and roadmap.

🌱 This support will help increase the visibility and recognition of and social economy actors in Bosnia and Herzegovina, create stronger foundations for joint advocacy and partnerships, and contribute to more inclusive employment opportunities for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups.
