From 12–15 May in Podor, Senegal, the Blé Irrigué Sénégal (BIS) project held a 4-day training for wheat producers, technicians, and farmer leaders in the Senegal River Valley.
Implemented by in collaboration with ISRA and Sunublé, and funded by , the training focused on cooperative management, wheat quality, safe pesticide use, and improving access to markets.
The project aims to strengthen producer cooperatives and support a sustainable local wheat value chain.
With results that continue to strengthen impact:
👨🌾 2,000+ producers supported
🌾 Yields reaching up to 7 ton/ha
📈 Direct impact on food sovereignty and producers’ incomes
