As a committee member, you will:
📌 Help organise the biology track at the annual ESTRO congress and contribute to the ESTRO Biology newsletter
📌 Contribute to educational and research activities, and advise the ESTRO Education Council on courses with a biological focus
📌 Act as a spokesperson for young professionals at the start of their career in biology research.

All scientists engaged in biology research in radiation oncology can apply. The committee seeks diversity in gender, professional background and geographical representation.

✨ Warmest congratulations to ESTRO Past President Prof Matthias Guckenberger on being named a 2027 Honorary Fellow by the American College of Radiology! 👏

The ACR recognises Matthias as a pioneer in image-guided precision radiotherapy, particularly stereotactic body radiotherapy, lung cancer and oligometastatic disease. His consensus definitions and guidelines for oligometastasis are widely adopted worldwide, and he has authored more than 600 peer-reviewed publications. Through research, international and interdisciplinary collaboration, he has contributed to improving outcomes for cancer patients globally.
