🚨 Launch of the Europe Press Freedom Report 2025
Next Tuesday, on 3 March 2026 (10:00–12:00 CET), the Council of Europe’s Platform for the Safety of Journalists will present its annual Europe Press Freedom Report, titled “On the Tipping Point: Press Freedom 2025.”

This report, prepared by the Platform’s 15 partner organisations – including the Association of European Journalists – provides an in-depth analysis of the legal, policy and practical developments shaping media freedom and journalist safety across Europe. It also outlines concrete actions needed to strengthen effective protection for journalists.
The press conference will feature key findings and recommendations, alongside country-specific discussions and testimonies from leading media professionals and press freedom advocates, including representatives from investigative and independent media outlets across Europe.
The presentation will be complemented by testimonies from:
