The conquest of is a matter of power relations

Although the stability of institutions over recent decades may have made us forget this, current attacks on the rule of law around the world serve as a reminder

Democracy must thus be deepened or it risks being weakened - but how can we address this challenge across its economic, political and social dimensions❓

The ETUI and the University of Lille have joined forces to create a two-day discussion forum between academic and industry researchers, trade unions, and other actors dedicated to examining forms of representative, direct and political democracy: from and activism, to community involvement, associations and social movements

🗣️ Bringing together 20 speakers and designed to encourage interaction, the event is organised as part of a project about participatory change from global North and South perspectives
