EN - .rami is joining forces with Various Voices for our big show on 27 June at the ING Arena, whose activist ethos particularly resonates with her. Influenced by R&B, pop, rap and aïta, Lalla Rami is a female rapper from Kenitra, Morocco. She creates an Afrofuturist and surrealist world where chaabi, raï, pop, electronic music and hip-hop come together.

Bercée par le R&B, la pop, le rap et l’aïta, Lalla Rami est une cheikha-rappeuse originaire de Kénitra, au Maroc. EN - My name is .mame. You can come and see me at the Royalties show on 26 June at the Cirque Royal. At the crossroads of tragedies, disasters and my grandmother’s stories, I bring to life tales that both burn and soothe. My drag is deeply rooted in my dual Belgian and Greek heritage. Performing in front of choirs from across Europe and the world is a real honour. I love tackling subjects that are rarely discussed, creating genuine emotions: making people cry with joy, laugh through sadness, and bringing people together around powerful human stories. À la croisée des tragédies, des catastrophes et des récits de grand-mère, je fais surgir des histoires qui brûlent et apaisent. Mon drag est profondément ancré dans ma double culture belge et grecque. Performer devant des chorales venues d’Europe et du monde est un véritable honneur. NL - Mijn naam is Terata Mamé. U kunt mij ontdekken tijdens de show Royalties op 26 juni in het Cirque Royal. Op het snijvlak van tragedies, rampen en verhalen van grootmoeders breng ik verhalen tot leven die zowel branden als troosten. Mijn drag is diep geworteld in mijn dubbele Belgisch-Griekse cultuur. Optreden voor koren uit Europa en de rest van de wereld is een ware eer. Ik houd ervan om onderwerpen aan te snijden waarover weinig wordt gesproken, en oprechte emoties op te wekken: mensen laten huilen van vreugde, lachen om verdriet, en samenbrengen rond sterke menselijke verhalen. EN - .lesmecaniques is a Brussels-based dragking, a member of La Barakakings and co-host of the 100% Disney Q***r show ‘Draguna Ma Tata’. A multidisciplinary artist, he challenges toxic masculinity with his rock-romantic, womanising persona straight out of the 1980s and his bewildered expression in the face of feminism. Through dance, live singing and clowning, Raoul is keen to anchor his performances in his q***r and decolonial feminist activism. FR - Raoul Les Mécaniques est un dragking bruxellois membre de La Barakakings et co-host du show 100% Disney Q***r « Draguna Ma Tata ». Artiste multidisciplinaire, il questionne la masculinité toxique avec son univers de rockmantique loveur tout droit sorti des années 80 et sa mine déconfite face au féminisme. Danse, chant live et jeu clownesque, Raoul tient à inscrire ses performances dans son militantisme q***r et féministe décolonial.

Met dans, live zang en clowneske acties wil Raoul zijn optredens verankeren in zijn q***r- en dekoloniale feministische activisme.

Brussels is about to sing q***r – literally. 🎶🌈

From 24 to 28 June 2026, our city becomes the stage for Various Voices Brussels 2026, Europe’s biggest LGBTQI+ choir festival. 120 choirs, around 4,000 singers from 18 countries, 350+ concerts in venues like Bozar, Cirque Royal, La Madeleine, ING Arena – plus free performances in Brussels Park, City Hall and the streets.

Brussels, are you ready for one last big sing? 🎶🏳️‍🌈

Various Voices is about to take over the ING Arena with Let Your Heart Be Heard, the biggest LGBTQI+ choir gathering Brussels has ever seen – and there’s still time to join from the inside, not just from the seats.

No need to be a pro singer or already in a choir: the festival’s open rehearsals at Bozar are there to help you learn the anthem and feel at home in the crowd. It’s a unique chance to stand in the middle of thousands of q***r voices and allies, and literally hear what community feels like.

Tristesse et colère.

La nuit dernière, une quinzaine de bannières placées sur des poteaux d’éclairage du centre-ville de Bruxelles ont été détruites.

Placées hier, ces bannières étaient destinées à promouvoir le festival européen des chorales LGBTQI+ Various Voices qui a lieu du 24 au 28 juin.

Un déchaînement de violence visiblement bien organisé, car ces bannières sont placées en hauteur.
La société responsable de leur placement nous dit que cela n’était jamais arrivé, sauf dans le cas de la Brussels Pride.

Il ne s’agit pas d’une coïncidence. Le caractère homophobe de ce vandalisme ne fait aucun doute.
Various Voices est un événement associatif auto-financé.

Ces bannières étaient destinées à visibiliser notre événement dans la ville et représentaient notre plus gros budget de communication.

Mais au-delà de la perte matérielle, c’est surtout de la tristesse et de la colère que nous ressentons.

Lacérer ces bannières, c’est nous lacérer. C’est ramener nos identités dans l’ombre, imposer le silence à notre communauté, c’est nous interdire la liberté d’exister.

Nous allons déposer plainte et nous ne nous tairons pas.

Dans dix jours, 4200 choristes LGBTQI+ chanteront à Bruxelles, en affirmant leur fierté et en défendant des valeurs de solidarité et d’inclusivité.

Chanter est notre façon de répondre à cette violence et à cette haine.

Nos voix résonneront dans Bruxelles plus fortement que jamais.
