Twice in Crescendo Magazine this week!
This time about the premiere of "Horizons", with Sigrid Vandenbogaerde Privé at the [Electro / musique d'aujourd'hui] XPRMNTL CELLO concert in Arsonic on the 21st of February.
Bernard Vincken mentions Sigrid's grace when playing with the sensors I developed at numediart in 2012... time flies!
"Son violoncelle est acoustique et c’est elle qui est branchée, par l’intermédiaire de capteurs (aux bras, aux mains…) qui la transforment en thérémine humain : Sigrid Vandenbogaerde,..., use de ses gestes pour transmettre des sons à Todor Todoroff,...,
jouant d’une interdépendance sonore spatialisée pour créer une gracieuse image féérique d’elfes électriques dansant dans l’herbe mouillée."

"La veille se termine sur la Belgian Electroacoustic Night, dont je n’entends qu’une partie (les horaires s’entrechoquent), dans le Studio, plein pour l’occasion, et dont je retiens en particulier la nouvelle pièce de Todor Todoroff (1963-), Voices Part IV – Hallucinations, suite de son travail sur la voix et ses résonances (un texte de Rimbaud est la base des pérégrinations vocales de Vaiana François), qu’il spatialise lui-même – comme il le fera pour Rezas Populares do Brasil de Leo Kupper (1935-)"

Dear friends, I've been away from FB for quite a while.
But is February too late to wish you a Happy New Year?
