TuR&Bo is the Brussels liaison office of Turkey's main research and business organisations: TOBB (The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey), TUBITAK (The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), KOSGEB (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organisation) and TESK (The Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Craftsmen). Founded by these four prominent public and pr
ivate sector organisations, the international non-profit association (AISBL) TuR&Bo was set up in Brussels in 2004. Our founding philosophy and aims are based on the principle of public-private partnership. Since 2004, we have been assisting Turkey in succeeding in the European Union’s RTD and private sector/enterprise-oriented
programmes within the framework of the EU 2020 Strategy. We help our founding partners and their stakeholders find partners with whom they can participate in Horizon 2020 and COSME projects, mainly through Brussels-based networks. We monitor the latest developments in the European Research Area and provide policy advice to our founding partners with an emphasis on developing strategic analysis in terms of Turkey's participation in relevant EU programmes (Horizon 2020 and COSME). Our key activities are:
1) Contributing to Turkey's success in EU Research, Development and Innovation funding schemes by lobbying the EU institutions, networking, sharing partner search profiles and through our monthly newsletter;
2) Monitoring EU policy developments in Research, Development and Innovation;
3) Relaying information about EU research related events and issues to our stakeholders;
4) Participating in research networks and liaising with EU scientific communities;
5) Facilitating and hosting meetings between Turkish organisations and their EU counterparts. Please feel free to get in touch at [email protected].
