🌱 It’s time to act for the environment!

On hashtag , we celebrate the power of local action to build resilient, sustainable communities and a healthier planet.

🤝At AEIDL, we believe environmental protection and sustainable, community-led local development go hand in hand. Every day, we work to connect local initiatives to broader EU frameworks & promote nature-based, innovative solutions to address environmental challenges like pollution, biodiversity loss and climate change.

Through our projects, we empower local communities and territories to implement sustainable practices in agriculture, energy, waste management and conservation.

💡 What an inspiring discussion this morning on the future of Europe’s regions and communities.

Following the launch of the initiative, brought together policymakers, EU institutions, regional actors, researchers and local practitioners to explore a simple but crucial question:

❓ How can we ensure that staying in your community remains a real choice?

With over 280 registered participants, the discussion showed the strong momentum around this emerging EU agenda and the interest it is already generating across different sectors and territories.

We are especially proud that AEIDL helped convene one of the first spaces bringing together such a diverse group of stakeholders around this topic, at a moment when the strategy is still taking shape.
A big thank you to all speakers (Serafin Pazos Vidal, Diletta Zonta, Cristina Guarda, Isabel Castaño Ambrosio, Janne Sinerma, Tina Katika, Claudia De Luca, Haris Martinos) and participants for the richness of the exchange and for making the discussion so dynamic and forward-looking.

📅 The consultation is now open until 12 June — contributions are very welcome: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/18032-Right-to-Stay-Strategy-Your-Region-Your-Future_en
