The Network Committee, or NEC for short, is one of the five committees within ESN, working closely with the Vice-President. The committee works mainly in the fields of Human Resources (Recruitment and Onboarding, Volunteer Management, and Volunteer Development) and Network (Network Development, Network Care, and Network Engagement). The work in the committee happens through projects related to the

aforementioned fields. Each member chooses the field (HR or Network) they would like to work in and then the project offered in each field, respectively. Besides the projects offered, there is also one team that works closely with the Communication Officer - the Communication Team. The projects are coordinated by the Project Leaders, while the overall functioning of the committee is managed by the Chairing Team, composed of the Main Chair, the HR Manager and the Communication Officer.
- The main responsibility of Main Chair is to lead the Chairing Team, represent the Committee towards the network and externally, oversee the activity of the committee by following up and supporting the Project Leaders together with the Vice President of ESN.
- The HR Manager is in charge of the overall HR of the committee by coordinating the internal HR, planning the recruitment of new members, and on-boarding, training and following up on the performance of all members.
- The Communication Officer coordinates the internal Communication Team, oversees and plans all communication efforts of the committee, including graphic design, creation of presentations, promotion campaigns, and publications. Chairing Team 2021/2022:

Our Story

The Network Committee, or NEC for short, is one of the five committees within ESN AISBL, working closely with the Vice President. The committee works mainly in the field of Human Resources, tackling several different areas such as recruitment, knowledge management, recognition, and finally research. We recruit members from all the ESN Countries with good competences and will to develop them by developing the Network. Our mission is to provide the resources and knowledge to leverage our Network. The work in the committee happens in smaller teams, each of which works in its own area of expertise. The teams are coordinated by the Team Coordinators, while the overall functioning of the committee is managed by the Chairing Team, comprised of the Main Chair, HR Manager and Communication Officer. The main responsibility of Main Chair is to lead the Chairing Team, represent the Committee towards the network and externally, oversee the activity of the committee by following up and supporting the Team Coordinators together with the Vice President of ESN. The HR Manager is in charge of the overall HR of the committee by coordinating the internal HR team, planning the recruitment of new members, and on-boarding, training and following up on the performance of all members. The Communication Officer coordinates the internal communication team, oversees and plans all communication efforts of the committee, including graphic design, creation of presentations, promotion campaigns, and publications. As of now, NEC has four teams focused on different fields. Those four are: HR, Data Analysis, Network Engagement and Information Management. The Team Coordinators (TC) are responsible for managing the team, overlooking the progress of each project and ensuring the Action Plan is being fulfilled. TCs are appointed by the Chairing team and the Vice President.
