On 28 May, the second session of the Project Lab organised by CBE-GEIE and Fondazione Inarcassa took place in the beautiful setting of the Ordine degli Architetti di Firenze - Fondazione Architetti Firenze, as part of a training initiative dedicated to building practical skills in European project design under the Erasmus+ programme.

At the heart of the day was an intensive hands-on exercise focused on drafting a project concept note. Working in groups, participants moved from theory to application, translating their professional experience into concrete project ideas and becoming more familiar with the key elements required to develop a European project proposal, from problem analysis and objectives to target groups, activities, expected results and potential partners.

The session concluded with group presentations, offering an opportunity for peer exchange, constructive feedback, and shared reflection on the different approaches taken; a collaborative moment that reinforced both the learning outcomes and the connections within the group.

The journey continues. The ideas developed during this session represent a concrete starting point for future Erasmus+ applications by architects and engineers registered with Fondazione Inarcassa. CBE-GEIE stands ready to provide technical expertise and guidance to further develop these ideas into structured European project proposals.

On May 20–21, CBE participated in an intensive training programme on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) organised within the framework of the DEIMAN4Finance project, an initiative aimed at promoting more inclusive, accessible and equitable workplaces across the financial sector.

The programme combined theoretical insights with hands-on activities, addressing some of the most relevant challenges organisations face today through five key focus areas:
• Disability Inclusion, with particular attention to the transition from the medical model to the social model of disability;
• Gender Equality, including the analysis of pay gaps and promotion biases;
• Multicultural Competence, aimed at enhancing collaboration across diverse cultural backgrounds;
• Inclusive Language, to support bias-aware and effective communication;
• European Regulatory Frameworks, providing an overview of current requirements and developments in workplace inclusion.

A particularly significant achievement was the successful implementation of accessibility measures throughout the programme, ensuring the full participation of all attendees in both in-person and online settings. Through dedicated accessibility protocols, including visual-first presentations and structured interaction management, participants and interpreters were able to engage effectively in every activity and discussion.

Among the practical exercises, participants worked on identifying physical, digital and cognitive barriers within simulated financial institutions, developing actionable solutions to improve accessibility and inclusion. The programme also included case studies focused on recognising exclusionary language and addressing multicultural workplace challenges through an inclusive and constructive approach.
Training is an essential step towards creating lasting organisational change. Participants concluded the programme by defining individual commitments and concrete action plans that will support the implementation of inclusive practices within their organisations.

CBE would like to thank Institut d’Estudis Financers for the excellent organisation and hospitality, as well as all participants for their engagement, expertise and commitment to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion within the European financial sector.

Exciting progress in our collaborative journey toward innovative education with the Asc4inn Project project!

CBE is proud to be working alongside its international partners to shape the future of professional training. We are currently in the heart of the curriculum development phase, focusing on creating high-quality educational pathways that bridge the gap between higher education and the evolving needs of the labor market.
As part of this initiative, CBE is leading the development of the course on Investment and Risk Management. This effort is part of a broader, cutting-edge curriculum that also includes topics such as Robotics, Big Data, and IoT, all designed to equip professionals with both basic and advanced digital competencies.
Our latest technical coordination meeting was a great success, allowing us to refine the guidelines for our learning modules and discuss the integration of micro-credentials to ensure flexible and recognized learning outcomes.
The road leads to Milan! We are now preparing for our next in-person project meeting in Italy, which will be a crucial milestone to finalize our curriculum drafts and plan the development of innovative digital training materials and educational games.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to build impactful learning experiences for the digital age!

Our international consortium recently gathered for a productive online meeting to align on the next phases of our shared journey. It was a valuable opportunity to review the milestones achieved and to set the course for the upcoming months of implementation.

Here are the primary areas of focus discussed:
Refining quality frameworks: we are finalizing the core validation methodologies that will ensure our project outputs meet the highest standards of quality and impact.
Evolution of digital tools: significant progress was reported on our digital ecosystem, which includes VR simulations, a dedicated mobile application, and an integrated learning platform. These tools are being refined to provide an immersive and accessible educational experience
Upcoming training in Cyprus: we are looking forward to a face-to-face training session scheduled for June in Cyprus. This event will serve as a vital pilot phase, allowing educators and staff to test and provide feedback on our digital tools in a collaborative environment
Unwavering commitment to accessibility: inclusion remains at the heart of our work. We discussed enhancing the accessibility of our educational content through specialized translations, ensuring that our results reach and empower every member of our community.

As we look ahead to our next coordination meeting in May, we remain dedicated to fostering a more inclusive and technologically advanced educational landscape.
A sincere thank you to all partners for their continued dedication and collaborative spirit.

On 28 May, Florence will host the second module of Project Lab

Coopération Bancaire pour l'Europe, in partnership with Fondazione Inarcassa, invites architects and engineers registered with the Foundation to join a full-day hands-on workshop focused on the practical aspects of EU funding opportunities.

This is not a theoretical training programme, but a structured pathway designed for professionals who want to develop a concrete, field-tested methodology, guided throughout the process by CBE experts.

Module 2 represents the transition from knowledge to practice: participants will work on developing a concrete European project proposal, engaging directly with sector professionals and peers who share a strong interest in EU funding.
The session aims to provide immediately applicable tools, foster meaningful professional connections, and lay the groundwork for future collaborations on European calls for proposals.

CBE considers training a strategic lever to connect Italian professionals with a broader European dimension and its opportunities. This initiative is a tangible expression of that commitment.

𝐂𝐁𝐄 is proud to continue its partnership with Fondazione Inarcassa for the ongoing 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘫𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘓𝘢𝘣, a specialized training initiative designed to empower architects and engineers with the skills needed to navigate European funding.
The third session, held on April 22nd, shifted the focus from theoretical frameworks to concrete operational tools. Designing a successful project isn't just about having a great idea; it requires a robust logical structure. During the lesson, we delved into the technical heart of 𝘌𝘳𝘢𝘴𝘮𝘶𝘴+ 𝘒𝘈2 applications, covering:
🔹 The project life cycle: moving from the initial funding search to planning and final evaluation.
🔹 Strategic partnerships: using the Partner Information Form (PIF) to build credible, multi-context consortiums.
🔹 Logical framework & GANTT: organizing objectives and activities into a coherent timeline with measurable SMART indicators.
🔹 Budgeting: ensuring financial proposals are realistic, transparent, and efficient.
A huge thank you to our expert speakers, Dr. Alessandro Previtali and Dr. Ettore Melzi, for their clear and insightful guidance through these technical complexities.
We also want to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Nadia Glaeserer, EU Project Manager at Fondazione Luigi Clerici, for her invaluable contribution and expertise in shaping this module.
The journey doesn't end here! We are now preparing for the next phase: a hands-on workshop in Florence on May 28th, where participants will put these tools into practice by drafting their own concept notes.
