EAEA is a European NGO whose purpose is to link and represent European organisations directly involved in adult learning.

The organisation was originally founded in 1953 by representatives from a number of European countries. The European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA) is the voice of non-formal adult education in Europe. EAEA is non-governmental organisation (NGO) with 120 member organisations in 43 countries. EAEA represents more than 60 million learners Europe-wide. EAEA's purpose is to link and represent European organisations directly involved in adult learning.

The ETF - European Training Foundation and DVV International invite you to an online webinar exploring how local-level action can support and strengthen Adult Learning and Education (ALE).

The webinar will present insights from recent ETF and DVV International studies, followed by panel discussions with representatives of local authorities and national experts. Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange experiences, ask questions and contribute to an open discussion.

🌱 Inspiring practices: how adults across Europe are building Skills for work and life

Adult learners in Europe, from career changers to those far from the labour market, are gaining digital skills. This boost is often supported by public employment services and EU recovery funding.

Four practices from the new EU report "Advancing digital education for every learner" show what these services look like on the ground:

🤝Belgium: DigiYou helps young adults who aren't in education, work, or training. They become digital mentors in their communities, changing digital exclusion into local expertise.

🎓Bulgaria: RAABE provides free digital skills courses for both employed and unemployed adults. This is done through a training voucher scheme funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The accredited courses help boost digital competence.

💼Estonia: Cyborgs uses AI-powered workplace simulations to help adult learners, like managers and entrepreneurs, build soft skills. They practise leadership, conflict resolution, collaboration, and stakeholder management under pressure.

💻Sweden: Digitala jag, made with the Swedish Public Employment Service and Google, offers free micro-learning courses. You can learn about AI, how to evaluate online information, and tips for online job interviews. These courses help young people gain essential digital skills for work.
