The Centre for European Volunteering (Centre européen du volontariat, CEV) is the European network of over 60 national, regional and local volunteer centres and volunteer support agencies across Europe. Through our network we work together to promote and support volunteering through advocacy, knowledge sharing and capacity building & training. In this way we reach out to the many thousands of volu

nteers and volunteer organisations who look to volunteer centres a source of support bringing the European dimension to their work. CEV channels the collective priorities and concerns of its member organisations to the institutions of the European Union and the Council of Europe. Together with other European networks active in volunteering we exchange policy, practice and information in order to ensure effective and coherent follow up to European Year of Volunteering 2011 and ensure its legacy through the implementation of the Policy Agenda for Volunteering in Europe (PAVE) and the follow-up "Helping Hands - Hope for Europe" report.

🟠 Today is !
For more than three decades, European youth programmes have been creating opportunities for young people to cross borders, discover new perspectives, volunteer, learn and make a difference. 🇪🇺✨

From Erasmus in 1987 and Youth for Europe in 1988 to today’s Erasmus+ Youth and European Solidarity Corps, European programmes have placed learning, mobility, volunteering and solidarity at the heart of the European project.
Over the years, these opportunities have enabled more than 2 million young people to learn, connect and act in solidarity across borders — gaining skills, building friendships and becoming more active citizens in their communities and in Europe.

Today, we celebrate the young people who have taken part in these programmes and the countless organisations, volunteers and communities that have made these experiences possible.

🌍 Because when young people are given the opportunity to get involved, they don't just experience Europe — they help shape it.
