The Good Lobby

The Good Lobby is a non-profit civic start-up committed to equalising access to power for a more plural, inclusive and democratic society.

We believe that every citizen can make a difference in their community. To this end, we inspire, train and help citizens to influence major policy decisions, hold their political representatives accountable and share with them new solutions. In so doing, we build unconventional collaborations and alliances with and among NGOs, progressive companies, consultancies, and philanthropies. In other word

s, we help citizens and other organisations to set up ‘good lobbies’, enabling them to balance the undue influence of special interest groups. For this purpose, The Good Lobby popularises and democratises the various channels of participatory democracy existing at local, national and EU level. By embracing lobbying, everyone can gain a seat at the table and make their political system more responsive to societal needs. It’s time to get heard wherever you are and change society for the better, through many more voices.

In less than a year, under pressure to act “fast” and boost “competitiveness,”the Commission has pushed through a historic regulatory rollback via 12 omnibus packages:

📊 Citizens’ data repurposed for AI training
🌍 Environmental and consumer safeguards weakened

👥 And none of these proposal was subject to real consultation. No serious impact assessment.

This is happening as Europeans are watching, asking a legitimate question: who is deciding our future, and in whose interest?

And yet this rollback is not inevitable
