Did you know that The Fulbright Program offers a dedicated award for professionals and academics interested in transatlantic security studies?
Funded by a partnership between the U.S. Mission to NATO and the Fulbright Commission in Brussels, the NATO Security Studies Award invites American academics and professionals to conduct a research project that fosters awareness and understanding of NATO and its evolving role in transatlantic security.
The successful candidate will spend one semester during the 2027-28 academic year researching or researching/teaching on transatlantic security studies at a university or think tank of their choice in Belgium. In addition to their primary institute of affiliation, the award recipient will be connected with officials at NATO and at the U.S. Mission to NATO in order to facilitate their research. The scholar will be encouraged to engage directly with policy practitioners and contribute to ongoing transatlantic dialogue on priority security challenges.
