PUBLICATIONS - GUIDES TO PROMOTE DIVERSITY IN AND OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSROOM

➡️DiREC: Dialogue, Education and Respect in the Classroom – The Way to a Plural and Democratic Europe, was a two year Erasmus+ project where EFOMW participated as a partner organisation. Lead by Centro Cultural Islámico de Valencia (CCIV) the project aimed to tackle polarization and worrying growth of the marginalization in schools, which can lead students, regardless of their origin or culture, to approach to hate ideologies .

The main objective of the project was the establishment of a stable network of intersectoral, multicultural and multidenominational work in order to promote diversity and peaceful coexistence in classrooms through shared leadership and solidarity among colleagues within the classroom, but also outside of it, creating a feeling of respect and support that overcomes cultural, religious and social barriers.
Project also produced practical guides to promote diversity in and outside the classroom

Today, the 15th of March has been proclaimed by the UN as the international day to combat Islamophobia. General Assembly made this decision unanimously, calling for global dialogue that promotes tolerance, peace and respect for human rights and religious diversity. There is a need for concrete action in the face of rising hatred, discrimination and violence against Muslims. Muslim women can suffer “triple discrimination” because of their gender, ethnicity, and faith. Learn more about what Islamophobia is here:

🎉 Today we celebrate All Women around the world, their achievements and contribution to family, society and the world 🫶

💪 Women have been at the forefront of social and political change throughout history. Women's role in wellbeing of society is unquestionable, but still women are most freequent victims of violence in war and in peace, are more at risk to live in poverty, and are often deprived basic human rights.

✊ We continue to work towards more inclusion, more space and opportunities for women of all backgrounds,
✊ for more in our societies,
🌟 and for Our voice to be heard in questions that concern Us!

Society where women are neglected can not be a healthy society.

International Day of Holocaust Remembrance

▪️ On this day we remember victims of Holocaust
▪️ We remember all survivors and their pain
▪️ More than 6 million Jews and others killed because they didn't fit in the picture of a "pure nation"!

➡️ When we speek of holocaust we tend to speek in numbers, huge numbers, but let's stop for a moment and think of each of them, each person, a family member, a friend, a human being with memories, fears, hopes, dreams...
📣 'Never Again' must be more than just a hollow word echoing in the corridors of our institutions
📣 Lets stand for 'Never Again' to No one, Nowhere!
