Dear OCEANS Network Members,

We are pleased to inform you that the new EOI submission window is open until 14 June 2026.
Members are invited to prepare and submit Expressions of Interest (EOIs) outlining proposed activities and initiatives aligned with the 2026 priorities and objectives.

🗓️ Important Timeline

• 11 May – 14 June 2026: Submission of EOIs by Network Members

• 15 – 30 June 2026: Review and shortlisting by the Network Boards

• 30 June 2026: Submission of shortlisted EOIs to the ESS Team

📌 Members are strongly encouraged to:

• Align proposals with the 2026 DG EAC policy priorities;

• Promote activities in Europe, Enlargement Countries, and the South Mediterranean region;

• Develop collaborative and joint WP3 initiatives with other active networks whenever possible.

We encourage all members to act early and submit high-quality, impactful, and innovative proposals.

We are happy to inform you that the selection process for OCEANS AGM-AC 2026, which will take place on 23–24 July in Zagreb, has now been completed. 🌟

▫️We would like to begin by congratulating all selected participants. All successful applicants have been informed via e-mail and invited to proceed with the registration process.

▫️The Board, with the support of the Task Force, has carefully finalized the selection process. Meanwhile, applicants who do not require a visa and were not selected have been placed on the reserve list and may be contacted in the event of cancellations.

Thank you to everyone who applied and showed interest in OCEANS AGM-AC 2026. We are excited and truly looking forward to welcoming you in Zagreb!

🌍 OCEANS at EGM!

Last week, OCEANS took part in the Erasmus Generation Meeting (EGM) as part of the ESAA delegation! We actively joined inspiring panels and proudly represented OCEANS throughout the discussions.

Here are some highlights and memorable moments from the event 👇

🎤 Panel: “Collaboration Across Borders: A Life Skill”
In a world shaped by climate crises, technological revolutions, geopolitical tensions, and growing inequalities, collaboration across borders is no longer optional — it’s essential.

This panel explored how we can:
✨ Develop key diplomatic skills
✨ Better understand local contexts and communities worldwide
✨ Build meaningful connections with local associations
✨ Create impactful joint projects

💡 The session emphasized how strong connections can bridge societies, promote multilateralism, and ultimately contribute to peace.

🌊 Additionally, our former Vice President, Leila, represented OCEANS as a panelist in a forum on the Pact for the Mediterranean, sharing valuable insights and perspectives.

A Unique Opportunity for OCEANS Members 🖇

The AC is a flagship event that brings together students, alumni, university representatives, and key stakeholders from across the EU and Croatia. It offers a dynamic platform to explore the vital role of international student mobility programs within the OCEANS Network.

▫️The conference, taking place on Thursday, 23 July, will welcome over 80 participants (50 OCEANS members + 30 external participants).
▫️In parallel, the AGM , scheduled for Friday, 24 July, will gather 50 OCEANS members.

This exclusive forum provides a valuable opportunity to exchange insights, discuss challenges in international education, and actively contribute to shaping the future direction of the Network

Meet Diaa from Palestine,

🌊 New Wave in OCEANS 🌊

On February 23, OCEANS held an online handover meeting between the incoming and outgoing Board members together with the Erasmus+ Support Service Team.

✍🏻 During the meeting, key topics for a smooth transition were discussed, including:
• A brief overview of OCEANS in 2024/2025 and future perspectives
• The takeover of the mandate: roles and working rules
• Presentations from each department highlighting main tasks and achievements
• Updates on developments

With this dynamic energy, the new Board has officially set sail. 🚀

However, OCEANS is not driven by the Board alone. Our true strength lies in all of us. We are equal, we are united, and together we build and strengthen our ecosystem.
