A special charity walk for mental health awareness & raising funds to support prevention of su***de. The 2026 Darkness Into Light charity walk will take place at various locations across Belgium at 5am, Saturday 9 May. Join us to help raises crucial funds in support of mental health and su***de prevention services. Walkers meet before dawn to walk the 5km route from darkness into the light of the

sunrise, symbolising hope and community support for those struggling. The majority of funds raised are donated to our charity partner in Belgium, Community Help Service (https://www.chsbelgium.org/), a free 24/7 helpline in English for anyone struggling with mental health issues or su***de ideation. What an incredible morning we had on Saturday! 🌅

Thank you so much for everyone who turned out to walk with us for this year’s Darkness into Light walk. It was a really amazing morning, and the sense of community and support we all felt was really special.

By walking with us, you’ve shown those who are struggling that they are not alone 🫂 Every step counts, and we took some amazing ones together last weekend!

Thank you to Séamus Boland, President of the European Economic and Social Committee, General Sean Clancy, Chair of the European Union Military Committee, and Ana Gallego, Director General of DG Just, for leading this year’s Brussels walk alongside our chair and Jeremy Jennings, President of CHS Belgium!
