⚠️Mancozeb. Fipronil. Glufosinate… these pesticides are banned in Europe for a reason: they are too toxic
for people and nature.
Yet EU-based companies are still allowed to export them to countries with weaker protections - poisoning
farmers, contaminating water and ecosystems, and violating human rights around the world.
To expose this toxic double standard, communities across the world coordinated symbolic actions. Civil
society and farmer organisations from 13 countries in 5 different continents recorded themselves packing
bottles of these EU-banned pesticides into boxes destined to the European Commission.
In 2020, the European Commission pledged to end this practice. Five years later, that promise has not
been fulfilled
