After meeting some of the speakers who will take part in our event Reimagining Education through the Arts: Building Skills, Inclusion and Communities, taking place at the European Parliament, it’s time to meet the artists!

The roundtable will be followed by a live artistic performance by two IYMF Artists Ambassadors: Italian singer and MUS-E® artist Barbara Valentino and Belgian guitarist Quentin Dujardin. Through a musical journey across the Mediterranean, the performance will embody the very values explored throughout the afternoon — dialogue, creativity, inclusion, and cultural connection.

Participation is free and open to the public, but registration is mandatory. Secure your place before 17 June, subject to availability.

🥂 The evening will conclude with a networking reception near the European Parliament, offering an opportunity for speakers and participants to connect in a welcoming and convivial atmosphere.

-------------------------

In November 2025, we launched Le Cinéma des Rêves, a five-month film education project at the Centre d'accueil Croix-Rouge - Yvoir "Bocq", in partnership with Loupiote, a nonprofit with more than 20 years of experience using cinema as a tool for children’s education and expression.

Since then, a dozen of asylum-seeking children aged 9 to 12 have been taking part in theatre and improvisation workshops, where they explored their dreams, stories, and aspirations through creativity and collective storytelling.

Join us for the screening of their final project “Inside me/En moi” to discover the result of their journey!

From 25 to 31 May 2026, the world celebrates the first-ever UNESCO Culture and Arts Education Week under the theme: Culture and arts education for lasting peace. 🎨🎵✨

At IYMF, this message deeply resonates with our mission. Through the MUS-E® Programme, together with classroom teachers, professional artists bring music, dance, drama, visual arts, movement, and multimedia arts into the classroom, thus creating spaces where creativity, empathy, critical thinking, and dialogue can flourish.

By nurturing artistic expression and togetherness, MUS-E® helps build more inclusive and peaceful communities. 🌍❤️

🎨 How can the arts help shape the future of education in Europe?

Join us at the European Parliament for Reimagining Education through the Arts: Building Skills, Inclusion and Communities, an inspiring evening of dialogue, policy, music and connection.

Hosted by MEP Marcos Ros Sempere (CULT Committee) and organised by IYMF, this high-level event will bring together representatives from the European Parliament, the European Commission, UNESCO, MUS-E®, and Lifelong Learning Platform, to explore how arts-based education can foster inclusion, democratic engagement and essential life skills.

Following the roundtable, the event will continue with a live artistic performance by two IYMF Artists Ambassadors, singer and MUS-E artist Barbara Valentino from Italy and the Belgian guitarist Quentin Dujardin.

The event will close with a networking reception near the European Parliament, bringing together all speakers and participants in a convivial setting.

🎭 On Saturday, April 25, IYMF brought Pièces montées to the stage, a collective stage creation celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles, co-produced with TNWB.

✨ As part of our Inside « Création » programme, this project brought together musical artists Zoé Suliko and Vincent Granger, poet Laurence Vielle 🖋️, choreographer Milton Paulo, and the theatre company Sur le bout de doigts 🤲 alongside hearing-impaired teenagers, residents of Maison Gertrude retirement home, Montessori students, and young choir singers from La Monnaie. Scenography by Noémie Warrion, co-coordinated by Valérie Bertollo for TNWB.

💫 We are filled with joy and gratitude for this beautiful collaboration! Bringing together so many voices, generations, and forms of expression to create something truly meaningful. Seeing the project come to life on stage was an unforgettable moment for everyone involved.

On April 19, the International Yehudi Menuhin Foundation brought music and rhythm to our long-time partners at Serenia care home in Bouillon, Belgium, through a workshop and concert led by the Celmaca Duo, composed by Patricia Hernández Van Cauwenberge and Osvaldo Hernández Nápoles🎶

Through traditional South American music and percussion, residents, families, and staff, shared a joyful moment of cultural discovery and togetherness as part of the Inside project, supported by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles 💛

✨ The arts at the heart of education ✨

✍️ On May 9 & 10, the 13th Primary School of Kalamata hosted a two-day seminar in collaboration with us, the Greek Children’s Art Museum, along with other three participating school units, focusing on the experiential approach of the MUS-E® programme.

🤝35 teachers and artists came together to explore the philosophy and methodology of MUS-E® through workshops, experiential activities, and practical applications. The seminar highlighted how collaboration between teachers and artists can enrich everyday school practice and place creativity at the centre of learning.

💡Throughout the seminar, enthusiasm, positive energy, innovation, and creativity filled every moment. Participants exchanged ideas, experimented with artistic practices, and engaged in meaningful dialogue about the implementation of the MUS-E® programme within Greek schools.

A heartfelt thank you to all our partners and participants for this inspiring event. We look forward to many more opportunities to foster creativity and artistic expression for children in schools in Greece! 🇬🇷
