🏛️ A major recognition for one of our European Heritage Label Sites

The UNESCO World Heritage Committee has inscribed the Aalto Works — a series of architectural sites designed by Alvar, Aino and Elissa Aalto on the World Heritage List. Among the recognised sites is the Aalto Campus of the University of Jyväskylä - Jyväskylän yliopisto.

The Seminaarinmäki Campus at the University of Jyväskylä, already holds the for its pioneering role in promoting equal education and its contribution to Europe's shared history and values.

This new UNESCO inscription further highlights how places in Jyväskylä continue to tell stories of innovation, education and social progress that resonate far beyond national borders.

🌿 The first week of the European Heritage Volunteers Training Course on Traditional Masonry has successfully concluded at Rein Abbey, part of the Cisterscapes - Cistercian Landscapes connecting Europe network, a Site.

Over the coming weeks, participants will continue learning traditional masonry techniques while helping preserve the historic fabric and cultural landscape of one of Europe's oldest continuously inhabited Cistercian monasteries.
