While business schools and universities do an excellent job in teaching hard, quantitative skills, they fall behind whe
n it comes to preparing their students with soft skills that are more people-oriented and systemic in nature – human capital, decision making, strategy and innovation. That is where Junior Chamber International steps in. JCI actively seeks to deliver leadership and entrepreneurial development opportunities to young leaders so they may steer themselves, their communities, their countries and the world towards increased prosperity and lasting peace. We want to develop individual abilities and stimulate the joint efforts of young people for the purpose of improving the economic, social and spiritual wellbeing of mankind. By doing this, JCI’s ambition is to be the leading global network of young active citizens. That mission is mainly realised by the setup of projects on a local community level. The Local Organisations and the individual members are therefore the most important within the JCI World community. JCI The Heart of Europe (THOE) is the International Chapter of JCI in Brussels.
