The BelgianArtPrize is a biennial award for contemporary visual artists living in Belgium.

Founded in 1950, the aim of the BelgianArtPrize has always been to introduce new audiences to the works of our Belgian artists. The BelgianArtPrize is a biennial Award for Contemporary Art open to Belgian and international artists residing in Belgium and to all art disciplines.

‘Le Regard éloigné. A Selection from the Collection’ opens this Sunday June 14 Musée des Arts Contemporains. Go have a look, because work by our SpecialJuryPrize winner Jot Fau is on show!

Work by is on show at ‘El Dorado 26’, a group exhibition curated by LOHO, Aardig Gedacht and Club Woester, as part of the Kunstenfestival in Brugge, bringing together 33 artists across an open field in Dudzele. ‘El Dorado 26’ blends a continuous outdoor exhibition with live bands, performances, music and food. It’s a unique and immersive experience where art, sound and landscape converge in one of Bruges’ most unexpected settings.

Tonight opens ‘Double Trouble’ by .

“In his fourth solo exhibition at the gallery, the artist presents a series of recent works on marble in which he reexamines his familiar gradations. What unfolds on these surfaces is not a demonstration of technique, but an exploration of what painting can be when it withdraws from the rhetoric of the image and connects with a surface that is itself already an image.”
