The future of Europe’s digital transformation is now!
This morning at the “From Vision to Action: Empowering Skills Development, Capacity Building, and Inclusive Learning for Europe’s Digital Future” event, experts gathered to discuss how we can bridge the digital divide and build a more inclusive Europe.
🔑 Key takeaways:
- 9 out of 10 jobs require digital skills today, a stark reminder of how essential these skills are for Europe's future competitiveness.
- “An area where the MFF can strike is ensuring an investment in digital transition”, as one of the panelists explained. It is a critical message for the next Multiannual Financial Framework.
- Investments in digital infrastructure are key, especially in rural areas, where connectivity gaps still exist.
- AI literacy is becoming a priority for future skills development, as Europe faces a productivity gap due to lower digitalisation.
✨ Theresa Elhage, Communication & Advocacy Manager at All Digital, highlighted the work of All Digital members in providing digital inclusion and skills across Europe. She also asked the panelists an important question:
“What should the next MFF include to make funding accessible to local digital competence centres so they can deliver high-impact projects in their communities?”
✅This event reinforced the need for stronger collaboration between institutions, policy makers, and grassroots organisations to make digital skills, connectivity, and innovation a reality for all Europeans.
