Eine klare Kante gegen Intoleranz und Rassismus bedeutet auch Opfern einen entsprechenden Zugang zur Justiz zu ermöglichen. Dabei helfen zB unabhängige Gleichstellungsstellen zur Bekämpfung von Rassismus und Intoleranz.

Zur Bekämpfung sind jedoch echte Unabhängigkeit und eine angemessene Finanzierung dringend erforderlich!

Trotz der wachsenden Ausgrenzung von Gruppen in der EU reagiert die Europäische Kommission darauf überwiegend mit Empfehlungen.

Es sind verbindliche Maßnahmen erforderlich, um sicherzustellen, dass die Gleichstellungsstellen der Mitgliedstaaten unabhängig arbeiten und über angemessene Ressourcen verfügen, um eine wichtige Rolle beim Zugang zur Justiz für Opfer von Rassismus und Intoleranz spielen zu können.

KOSOVO - the hidden racism and humiliation on Roma now slowly shows that resentment and non-acceptance of Roma is all over this newly established state.
Perhaps it is the rare situation caught on camera - but it’s there and it exists. No one takes (doesn’t want to take) measures against it directly.
European Roma Equality Network EREN condemns this and similar events. We appeal to the authorities to react accordingly.
We are processing this case forward and underlining that Kosovo needs to work seriously on increasing the tolerance and understanding between people with different ethnic backgrounds.

All of its members are proved change makers in Western Balkans with outstanding background in number of fields such as early childhood education, academic support for tertiary education, capacity building of Roma youth, human rights education, advocacy and leadership.

The organizations came together to join forces and build synergies in the processes of fighting antigypsyism in local institutions and increase the capacities of Roma Community, NGO and Political leaders in Western Balkans and Turkey by using human rights education and advocacy tools.
