Fashion For Change We will collaborate with three other COSME projects running in parallel with a grant under the same call.

The EU-funded accelerator programme “Fashion For Change” helps fashion designers, small & medium size companies and start-ups succeed with circular business models and sustainable textiles. Fashion for Change provides support for small businesses in the fashion sector, accelerating and scaling-up innovative applications, products, processes and ideas for sustainable and circular fashion. The five

consortium partners Civitta Eesti AS, Estonian Academy of Arts, Ecopreneur.eu, Katalista Ventures and Singleton from Estonia, Lithuania and Belgium combine their experience in sustainable fashion, innovation and start-ups, sustainable SMEs, circular economy, finance and business support.

Now that the 3-year Fashion for Change project is coming to an end, the question is: What’s next? In times of (ultra) , do and young get the support they need to succeed with ?

At the Next4Fashion 2023 event in Brussels, Fashion For Change EU, Small But Perfect, S4Fashion and Circoax by Circularinnobooster presented the main results of their four EU-funded projects to peers from the sustainable fashion industry and the European Commission. As it turned out, all of them share the same conclusions and recommendations for future projects:

1. Entrepreneurs running a sustainable fashion business need support with through ongoing personal , investor-ready and .
2. The EU should create and promote trans-national communities through local hubs, where people can interchange and find the information, resources and contacts they need to their .

As much as a level-playing field, financial incentives, free support programmes and online-resources are necessary, at the end of the day, it’s all about building communities of people that trust each other when interacting either in-person or online.

Everyone looks at the 🇪🇺 EU to create a “level playing field” for sustainable entrepreneurs.
But with everything that’s going down for the moment, what are the measures needed to REALLY make a difference to get these businesses up and (even moe important) running? More ? Less regulation to give you a break with administrative stuff? Perhaps easier access to finance and public ? Or simply more cash on the table? Anything else? All of the above? In which order of priority? 🤔

How can material certifications drive progress towards sustainability priorities? Our colleagues at have created the Preferred Fiber and Materials Matrix, which assesses different standards within material categories, across 80 indicators that cover a range of impact areas.

Our event "Investor Glam" in Milan, with community partners TechChill Milano, Talent Garden and FashionTec Accelerator, was a hit! With 150+ registrations, we unveiled the results of the Fashion For Change programme, the Knowledge Hub, and most importantly - showcased the programme's .

Featuring panelists Rebecca Sehlbach, Head of Operations at Fashion Technology Accelerator - Milan, and Annamaria Tartaglia, Founder & Board Member of Angel 4 women, we dove into tech trends, , and practices.
