We’re pleased to bring the pancreatic cancer community’s voice to the new Patient Representatives Advisory Board (PRAB), launched by UEG - United European Gastroenterology on 18 October at UEG Week 2026 in Barcelona.

The board creates a dedicated platform for patient organisations to help shape UEG’s public affairs activities and wider work to improve digestive health across Europe. Launched during the Digestive Health Roundtable 2026, the initiative builds on a shared commitment to recognising patients as co-creators of research, policy and care.

Through our participation, Pancreatic Cancer Europe will bring the experiences and priorities of people affected by pancreatic cancer into these discussions, working alongside fellow patient organisations to identify shared challenges and advance common priorities.

Our Brainstorming Meeting on Pancreatic Cancer Primary Prevention and Screening Interventions has kicked off at in Barcelona!

Organised in collaboration with the European Pancreatic Club - EPC and UEG - United European Gastroenterology, the meeting brings together leading experts, researchers and patient advocates to explore ways to strengthen pancreatic cancer prevention and early detection.

Todays discussions cover the epidemiological landscape, emerging risk factors, lifestyle interventions and strategies for primary prevention. We look forward to a productive day of exchanging knowledge and ideas to help advance pancreatic cancer prevention and improve patient outcomes.

We are very happy to welcome the news that the European Medicines Agency (EMA) has recommended authorisation of Rasonque (daraxonrasib), developed by Medicines, for previously treated adults with metastatic pancreatic cancer.

At Pancreatic Cancer Europe, we are committed to improving treatment options and access to care for people affected by pancreatic cancer. We will continue to follow regulatory developments closely and share reliable information with our community across Europe.

EMA Recommends Authorisation of Daraxonrasib for Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer

Pancreatic Cancer Europe (PCE) was pleased to take part in the 3rd Botton Champalimaud Foundation / Fundação Champalimaud International Pancreatic Cancer Conference, held in Lisbon on 8–10 October.

Our PancreOS Project Officer, Raquel Benítez Dorta, represented PCE, exchanging insights with European pancreatic cancer networks, discussing shared challenges and exploring opportunities to strengthen collaboration and accelerate pancreatic cancer research across Europe.
