🧠 Good news from Europe! 🇪🇺

Following our roundtable at the European Parliament, the Belgian Brain Council received an official response from the European Commission.

Our recommendations will be carefully considered, with a focus on brain research, the EHDS and European collaboration.

On 8 June, BBC attended the high-level event “Advancing Brain Cancer Research: From Policy Action to Scientific Breakthroughs” at the European Parliament.

Hosted by Ms. Sophie Wilmès, Vice-President of the European Parliament, the event brought together policymakers, researchers, healthcare professionals, patient representatives, and key stakeholders to discuss how Europe can accelerate progress in brain cancer research, improve patient outcomes, and translate scientific advances into concrete policy action.

Following the successful roundtable held on 12 May, the conversation on brain health continues, highlighting the importance of collaboration, innovation, and sustained investment in research.

Together, we can help ensure that scientific breakthroughs translate into meaningful impact for patients across Europe.

The Belgian Brain Council is pleased to share that Newsletter #82 is now available online following the round table held at the European Parliament on 12 May 2026.

🌍 Une Europe de la santé sans frontières

Une conférence de haut niveau consacrée aux droits des patients et aux soins transfrontaliers dans l’Union européenne a réuni des acteurs majeurs du secteur.

À cette occasion, BBC et EBDH ont contribué activement aux échanges, participant aux réflexions sur l’amélioration de l’accès aux soins à l’échelle européenne.

Un constat s’impose : l’accès à des soins de qualité ne doit pas être limité par les frontières.
Ces discussions mettent en lumière la nécessité de renforcer la collaboration entre institutions, acteurs de l’innovation et partenaires internationaux afin de construire des systèmes de santé plus équitables, connectés et résilients.

Le 19 mars, une soirée placée sous le signe de l’émotion et de la solidarité, où chaque note a résonné en faveur de la lutte contre la sclérose en plaques.

Artistes et public réunis, portés par une même énergie et un engagement commun pour faire avancer la cause.

Semaine du Cerveau 2026

Le Belgian Brain Council (BBC) a eu le plaisir de participer à cet événement, contribuant activement à la sensibilisation autour des maladies neurologiques.

Vivre avec la maladie de Parkinson, c’est aussi apprendre à vivre ensemble.
Un moment à la fois scientifique et profondément humain, marqué par des échanges sincères entre experts, patients et proches.
👉 Parce que la maladie ne touche jamais une seule personne, mais tout un entourage.
