On February 25th, AYB organized its annual book exchange in honour of well-known Armenian writer Hovhannes Tumanyan. The participants were randomly paired to exchange books that they brought and presented it to the group. There was also a small quiz about Hovhannes Tumanyan’s life and his literary work. Giving books to each other on this Book Giving Day has become a pleasant tradition both in Armenia and here in Belgium among Armenian youth 📚
Many thanks to BelgaHay for hosting us this year 😊

Dear Friends,

This year we are holding the second edition of our book exchange in honour of Hovhannes Tumanyan. Hovhannes Tumanyan, who was born on the 19th of February 1869, is one of our greatest national writers and poets, and his works have been in great demand for generations. Since 2008, Armenia has been celebrating 'Book Giving Day' every year, where people give books to one another. Let's be part of this great initiative and exchange books with other readers of our community in Belgium!

The event will start at 13:00 and will take place in Zaventem, at AADB center (Imperiastraat 14, 1930 Zaventem).

To be part of the event, please register using the link down below as soon as possible, before 24/02.

Registration is mandatory as it's important to have an even number of participants to ensure that everyone gives/receives a book. Participants will be randomly paired for the exchange. On Sunday you are expected to briefly present your book.

Please contact us if you have any questions.

We look forward to seeing you there!
